Why does madhubala call her dad Maalik, (like owner)? Her mother calls him Malik though. What's the reason behind it? I just started watching this series but not from the begining, so can someone please enlighten me? I didn't like the initial episodes so skipped those, but it just irks me everytime MD calls him that.

madhu's real father is someoneelse. i dont know his name..he tortured padmini and trishna..he tried to kill them..padmini was pregnant that time..she escaped from her house.with trishna...shamsher malik is a stunt man...he is the saviour of padmini and trishna..then padmini gave birth to madhu..so they all calling him by his name malik..even i didnt watch previous episodes..i think this makes sense

Malik isn't Madhu's real father

To put it in simple words Madhu's dad was a jackass who threatened to murder Padmini , Trishna and Madhu( who was in Pads uterus at that time) if she gave birth to a girl. Pads decided to run away with her unborn baby and Trishna and ended up in Mumbai with Roma( Malik's sister ) and Malik

Malik decides to adopt both Trishna and Madhu( she was born in Mumbai ) after hearing Pads story and even stops Balraj( that's the jackass dad) when he comes to Mumbai to drag his wife and kids back home

So to Madhu and Trishna ,Malik is father but they can't call him Papa because, well he is not their real father- But I have to say I don't understand the logic here. They think of him as dad so why not just call him dad😕

In there childhood... thrishna cud not pronounce mallik, so she calls him maallik... but mallik tries to correct her... and padmini says that there is no need of it, coz he is there maallik only, as he is the owner for her kids .. So both thrish and madhu call him maallik from then.
