Ria don't you think you're over reacting regarding Aarti's conversation with Palak? It's not as if she shouted at the girl. She spoke with a firm voice and laid down the ground rules. No skipping school for ice-cream. It's not as if she did not offer Palak an alternative before finally ceasing to cajole and going straight to reprimanding. She wasn't harsh in that regard. Now the rest of the scene, I agree with you on, but that part of the scene was fine. Parenting requires one to be tough at certain times and a pushover at others...and as Sammy said this is probably a lead up to some very interesting sibling rivalry. EDIT: Please don't take offense to my tone of type😳

I don't know if I am overreacting, but I definitely found the scene very disturbing, especially the part where she walks off without even one look at the girls! And all the time holding Ansh. I am not saying she did it intentionally, but it definitely would look like that to Palak. I have no problem with her rule of no skipping school for icecream...I have a problem with her lack of explanation. Why wouldn't Palak feel that her mother was being biased? She doesn't know that Ansh is going for vaccination! This was definitely not a situation where Aarti needed to be very tough! A simple explanation about why Ansh was skipping school and a simple promise that they would have icecream as soon as they returned from school would have done the trick! Palak would have known that Ansh was not allowed to miss school for an icecream...and her mother was being fair! But unfortunately, not only odoes Aarti not provide an explanation to the girls, she does not even promise them to give icecreams after they cm back! With a serious face she says "kisi aur din"...and then after few mins, walks off with a soft "chalo Ansh" without as much looking at the girls! Definitely very very disturbing!
