challenge for the music director to pack in as much creativity possible in the forty five seconds title track that he gets to compose. Afterall, it's the title track which sets the tone of a serial.
"I have been composing music for television shows for the past ten years. I've done the lead track for almost all Neena Gupta's shows including Saans and Siski, a few of Balaji shows and now Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan. The music for Ghar Ki...is something I've never done before and the song is very upbeat. We had a couple of singers in mind and told the channel for Preeti and Pinki considering they are not the routine singers," says the ever smiling music director who slogs out eighteen hours in the studios.
Interestingly the music director is often confused for the other music director duo Jatin-Lalit and is noted director Shambhu Sen's son. The Lalit Sen in question has done more of television(has 60 TV shows and 200 albums to his credit) and less of films in the twelve years of his career as a music director but what gives him a kick, is it television or films?
"Working on films is easy but its difficult to handle the producers also one gets to make five-six songs. As far as television is concerned the composition has to be of 45 seconds and its more hard work, challenge and lets in more creativity in short span," points out Lalit.
So, here's a guy who makes good music for our ears!
