Lindsay Is Hospitalized, Again

Lindsay Lohan checked into her vacation home, the emergency room, Friday night after slipping outside of a fashion week party in New York. She's been to a hospital at least four times this year alone-most recently for heat exhaustion after she collapsed on the set of her film Georgia Rule, which caused the CEO of the film's production company to write a vicious public letter slamming Lindsay's work ethic. This time, she broke her wrist in two places.

Lindsay endured her slip in her natural habitat, a party, when she fell at Milk Studios in New York (no banana peels were involved). Her publicist, Leslie Sloane, who must be getting dizzy from all the spin she's had to deliver for Lindsay, says that the Mean Girls star is looking into suing the venue. Lindsay checked herself into a London hospital in February after she slipped on the stairs at Bryan Adams' mansion, breaking the ceramic tea cup she was carrying and cutting her shin. Lindsay's excuse was that she was fresh from the shower and the combination of freshly applied lotion and being wet threw off her balance. Lindsay's mom Dina, who reminds me of Penny in Dirty Dancing, drove in to New York from Long Island to make sure her daughter was ok. The night before, the New York Post's "Page Six" reported the tight-like-Gilmore Girls mother-daughter duo had endured a public battle royale at Dina's birthday party that culminated in Lindsay screaming "go to hell!" and storming out.

It seems the B-List was having an informal pow-wow as Ashlee Simpson's ex Ryan Cabrera and Serena and Venus Williams were on hand to feign embarrassment as the hissy fit went down. Dina, according to the story, was "crying and shaking" and typing on her Blackberry for 45 minutes. When her cake came, she wailed like Nancy Kerrigan, and not because she wanted a triple fudge brownie. Is it too late to check Lindsay into a foster home?
