Hello, everyone! This is an important announcement. In reference to the much increased activity of the DC, and the sheer volume of posts that we get every day, it was decided that we should have a few more rules to keep the thread on topic and relevant to the show. Our fabulous Viewbie, and fellow DCian, Deeps, has come up with the following. Please take them seriously because it is for the betterment of the thread and all our fun times:
Dragon club thanks all members for their patronage. We welcome every POV & opinion and are grateful for all the members, visitors , stalkers , new entrants for gracing and making DC a super hit. As we all know this thread is viewed & read by tens of thousands. The reason we are a hit is , we have dedicated to discussing the show & every nuance of the characters, story telling and the show's technical brilliance primarily. Our vision was never about the actors but the Show. With our ever expanding family , we have to make some changes to make this thread more user friendly . So here onwards , we will be implementing some new rules which will be applicable with immdeate effect.
1. There is too much spamming & chatting which r not related to the show..Avoid it please . This forum has Chat club for that purpose.
2. Too much actor praising . We have Appreciation threads for it. Members can utilize it for that purpose. This is not to say it will not be allowed here . DC members can praise our actors in terms of looks , chemistry and acting for sure but without going overboard and hopefully limited to the scope of our show Punar Vivah.
3. Please stop bringing past resume/shows discussion of the actors needlessly.
4. Absolutely no personal lives talk will be entertained anymore. If you want to discuss GC or KS's personal life , this thread is not the place.
5. If you reserve on the first page (or even if you accidentally post there) you must fill that post with something relevant to the episode, be it a short or long take, a fiction piece, pictures or videos.

Guys think about it, think about the way these CVs unfold their story for a moment. Yash only really apologised verbally for all that he put Aarti through today. They built up to it patiently and calmly, and then inserted it where there was a much bigger problem brewing in the background. That is how they always operate, one resolution always happens in the context of the next conflict, which is what keeps their story fresh and interesting. They are not building up to one conflict and climax, but simultaneously working towards many at the same time, which allows them to play around with irony and parallels in an engrossing way. There are several layers to this Prashant truth and this week focuses on Aarti knowing the truth about his cancer and her reaction to it, as well as the Dubeys' emotional blackmail. They are not going to have two big revelations in the same week because they explore each focus point of the story with a lot of painstaking detail.
And yet, so much happened in today's episode that was noteworthy and important, in terms of the Yash-Aarti relationship because they are setting the stage for the truth to come out in a meaningful way for the story. I know it feels like dragging, but trust me, it will be worth it when the drama unfolds. As for Aarti not spilling the truth immediately, I am not really surprised by it... I mean where is she supposed to start? She has just been through the most traumatic experience with Prashant and Yash just pops up out of nowhere when she is still trying to figure out what happened with Prashant and the Dubeys, why they lied to her... before she could collect herself and decide one way or another, Shohba spoke for her, as she always does, not allowing Aarti to choose her own course. Shobha lying, weakens Aarti's resolve to tell the truth, a resolve that is shaky in the first place at best. Instead of encouraging her to tell the truth, and have faith in Yash, Shobha, through her actions, perpetuates Aarti's fear that Yash will never forgive her, despite his own pretty literal reassurances and declarations in today's episode.
Anonee was the one who first put this idea into my head, but there is a significant parallel with Palak's stage fright here. Aarti, much like her little daughter, is afraid to make herself vulnerable when she tells Yash the truth, and not just afraid but terrified, which makes her freeze up and avoid telling him, despite how much she wants to... just like Palak wanted to avoid the debate selection even though she had a burning desire to win the competition. They both preferred to be safe, rather than risk their pride and emotions and put themselves out there for the taking. I remember at the time, we were hugely frustrated because one remark from Bua cancelled out all of Palak's confidence after her rehearsal in front of the family, which Aarti had worked so hard to lay a foundation for. At that time we had discussed how, no matter how many people say good things about you, the thing that sticks in your head will always be the one critical or mean comment... that is what you dwell on and over-analyse, so despite the fact that the rest of the family had praised her, Bua's one remark was enough to topple Palak's fragile resolve.
It is the same with Aarti. At a time when she needs an Aarti-mummy of her own, to fight all the odds, do what it takes to bolster her confidence, and tell her that the only way to conquer her fears is to face them head on, she has Shobha, who instead of encouraging her to tell the truth, builds lie upon lie and tries to smooth the situation over, sending the clear message to Aarti that telling the truth will ruin everything she has. Imagine if Aarti had vehemently agreed with Palak that she should avoid the debate for fear of humiliation, and lied to the principal saying that Palak was sick the day of the debate selection... wouldn't this have given Palak the message that she couldn't give that speech? Why couldn't Shobha have told the truth today, when Yash asked, or at least set the stage for Aarti to do that? Instead she sent her a clear message which instead of allowing Yash's words to instill security and courage in Aarti to tell the truth, made her fear the loss of his regard for her. Shobha did a similar thing when she reminded Aarti of Prashant as she went to tell Yash about the pregnancy as soon as she found out. In short, Aarti is not telling Yash, not just because she is scared or because she doesn't understand the urgency, but because there are forces that are constantly holding her back, forces just as strong as her need to tell Yash in the first place.
Yash's speech was utter perfection! It highlighted everything I said in my take yesterday about how much the Scindias understand the essence of Aarti, despite not knowing her whole truth. Indirectly, through the veneer of her illness, Shobha might as well have been talking about the way Aarti treated Prashant as pagal... after all, isn't that what most of the forum is saying as well? But Yash, despite not knowing the whole truth understands that this is something about Aarti to be admired, and to surrender to. This is why Aarti never developed a sense of self worth with the Dubeys... they never really understood her strength of character and her incredible capacity for love and forgiveness, always mistaking it for impulsive, irrational and stubborn behaviour. That had to be my favourite dialogue in PV history..."Aartiji pagal nahin hain." What others see as an aberration, a flaw, he sees as her greatest strength and bows before it. This basically gave us a very broad hint of his reaction when the truth does come out. Like he said, once he finds out why she did and is doing what she did, he won't be able to stay angry with her for long. The question, of course, is when and how he is going to find that out.
Ansh! Why was he in the room when they were discussing all these sensitive issues? How tables have turned with the Scindias and the Dubeys! There we have Gayatri sending the girls off to play so they don't get an inkling of the stress in the household, and here we have all these emotional revelations happening before Ansh's eyes. I think it is safe to say that Yash is going to figure out the truth through Ansh... they showed too many close-ups of his face as important truths were revealed. Additionally, this reminds me of the scene where Aarti was trying to tell Yash about the pregnancy complications in the car and Palak and Ansh, though they seemed to be asleep, heard everything and responded to it. I think we can safely say Ansh knows too much!
I will leave the KC symbolism to you all because I honestly have no idea what it means. But they did protect the dia together, which was guttering under the Prashant hawa, which is a very good sign for the future. Prashant wants what he can't have... Yash's treatment of Aarti is suddenly making her look very valuable to him and this is paving a very interesting road for the three characters.
