Ideally wedding night itself. Later than that is fine, but I'm not a fan of those "pati is AWOL in a thunderstorm and feared dead/injured and that gives patni the impetus to initiate a suhaag raat in a hitherto physically dead relationship"-type scenarios... so I would encourage the CVs not to go down that road. Send them on a nice honeymoon instead!

Time: 5 years after AnSh's marriage. Anandi is visiting the haveli. She passes Dadisa sitting on her swing.

Dadisa: Arre, Anandi... aa, mhare paas baith.

(Anandi goes to sit near her)

Dadisa: Chhori, tu kaisi hai? Khus hai na Siv ke saath?

Anandi: Ji, Collector Sahab mera bohot khayaal rakhta hai. Hum log aksar raat ko samaj seva ke bohot gehre discussions me pad lete hai.

Dadisa: Yeh toh bohot acchhi baat hai... magar thaare ko patni hone ka poora... adhikaar deta hai na Siv?

Anandi: Ji, Dadisa. Kyun nahin dega? Ab hamari shaadi ko paanch saal ho gaye hai.

Dadisa: Ee toh sahin bola tune, chhori. Magar thaara godh abhi bhi soona hai... parivaar ko aage badhaane ka na socha tum logon ne?

(Anandi suddenly looks uncomfortable)

Dadisa: Ke huvo, chhori? Koi baat hai ke?

Anandi: Ji... unone abhi tak mujhe... mera matlab hai, humne...

Dadisa (eyes widening): Ee ke bole tu!? Paanch saal me!? Hei Devi Maa, ee chhori ka ke karoon main... paanch saal ho gaye aur abhi tak pati ko "collector sahab" bulati hai... aur raat ko unse samaj seva ki baatein karti hai...! Chhori... Siv ne kuch na bola thaare se is baare me!?

Anandi: Woh khush hai, Dadisa... usne kabhi koi shikayat nahin ki... in fact, unko hamare yeh discussions bohot pasand hai. Kabhi kabhi der raat tak hamari baatcheet chalti hai saap seedhi khelne ki dauraan...

Dadisa: Saap seedhi... thaari bhali hove! Siv se main aaj hi baat karlungi! Tum dono ne aaj raat saap seedhi aur baatcheet se aage koi kadam na rakha toh mhaara naam bhi Kalyani Devi na hai!
