Saffie- Shobha has lost the right to be called a mother with what she did with aarti and ansh...its fine to be loyal to Prashant but deliberately emotionally blackmailing aarti? no! thats unforgivable!
and Dubey is such a lousy man himself, he can never be a good dad to anyone. Sure he loves Prashant, but Is he a good father? No! Its probably becoz of him that Prashant has turned out the way he is!

I disagree with you. I think the purpose of portraying the Dubeys like that is to show the audience that a mother-father will go to any lengths for their own child. I don't agree with the tactic Shobha and Mr. Dubey are using to get their way, but I can understand why they're doing it. They're afraid of Aarti saying no, which will cause them to lose their son. It would be hard for any parent. They say that a mother can kill or be killed for her child, that's the extent of a mother's love. Shobha thinks by lying to Aarti, she'll save her son. The Dubey's aren't doing this for themselves, they're doing this for their son.
