Girl's life after marriage: How much ETHICAL...??

In India, the life of a girl after marriage changes completely...Is this we call a cultured society..??
Just focus on the following points.

1. She has to leave her house.valid
2. She has to change her middle and last name. valid (dont know about middle name)
3. She has to get herself adjusted to new people. valid with reservation (everyone has to adjust)
4. She has to cover up her head (this still happens in North Indian states) subject to religion, culture
5. After one year of the marriage, she is compelled to plan her pregnancy. valid
6. She is tortured like anything if she gives birth to a GIRL forgetting that the one who is giving birth to a son is also a WOMAN and the sex of the unborn child depends upon the male. valid but i dont think its torture
7. She is tortured both physically and mentally for Dowry...50-508. She cant wear dresses of her own choice... invalid9. She has to ask her in-laws before doing anything. mostly invalid10. She is called the so called IZZAT of the family but gets insulted continuosly in the house. hmm
11. If she cannt bear the above torturing and decides to return her father's house, she is labelled as a spoilt girl...dont know what to say
12. Even after sacrificing everything, she is given inferior place in the society...considered lower than MEN...valid
