To start with... am I bad or am I bad... I actually left this story 2 months ago with the intetion of writing more chapters...😭 but today, I actually realised that I am nowhere in the mood nor do I have any ideas to continue so I will end this story where I had originally planned it... I am truly sorry again for all those who waited for so long and kept sticking to me...
But I promise to come with another FF soon. It seemed you guys liked this kind of FF...
Geet received a lot of thank yous from Shekhar and Dev as she had helped them in a way no one else could have. Dadi and Archana, forgetting their differences with the father son duo, agreed whole heartedly. Even Rano apologized to Geet for not keeping faith in her but Geet was too happy to let anyone else be sad. She looked around and found Maan a little behind the others. He looked crestfallen.
"Kya hua Maan? (What's the matter, Maan?)", she asked and caressed his cheek.
"I am sorry Geet." When she gave him a confused look, he explained.
"I did not support you when I should have. I just kept thinking what would have happened if you lost. I did not have enough faith in you." But Geet just pulled him closer and hugged him tight.
"Aap aisa mat kahiye. Aap nahin hote to main kabhi jeet nahin paati. Poora waqt maine aap ke bare mein socha ishi liye hi main jeet pai hu. (Don't say that. I would have never been able to win if it wouldn't have been for you. All the time I just thought about you and that is what gave me strength.)" But Maan was not convinced.
"Haan, ek parae mard ne tumhe support kiya aur main yuhi khara rehgaya. (Yes, a stranger supported you while I just stood helplessly.)" He said sarcastically.
"Mere hausla aap ho, naki koi aur. Pedroji ne kaha to mujhe acche laga lekin aap jab poora waqt mere paas khade rahe, muje kuch khane ko aur peene ko dete rahe aur meri help ki, tabhi to main jeet pai hu. Aap nahinm hote to main to lunch ke pehle hi haar maan jaati. (You are my support, not someone else. I liked what Pedro said but it was you who stood by my side all the time, who fed me and helped me so that I could win. )"
"Kya tum ye sacch mein sochti ho? (Do you really think so?)" Maan asked. He did feel better after being assured that he had not thought or acted wrongly. Geet nodded.
The next few days brought a fresh air into the mansion. Though not completely forgiven, Shekhar and Dev were being treated better. Maan had no objection with both weddings behing held at the same venue during the same time and so Geet and Naintara spend many hours together in preparations. The match between Indian and Italian tailor had proven to be very popular amongst the viewers. The Indian press had brought the tape from their Italian colleauges and days later it was aired all over India. Pammi sat in a shabby hotel room and wiped the sweat from her forehad. She sighed in relief now that all her worries were gone. Maan and Dev were also getting married at the same venue so she assumed that the family had resolved all their differences. She had to go back to the mansion during a suitable moment and find her position back. She had married Shekhar all those years back in hope for living an easy life and did not want to give up on her dream.
The wedding was tomorrow. Shekhar had realized his mistake and how deeply he had not only hurt his ex-wife but also his family. He had not wanted to do so but at that time he had not realized the results of his actions. Dadi forgave him and so did Archana. She called Dev her son and after a little coaxing from his mother and Geet, even Maan and Vicky accepted the two into the family. The grooms were already present in the wedding hall. Maan and Geet wore white to the occasion after mutual agreement. Naintara and Dev opted for the classic red and beige. The functions had passed with a lot of fun and teasing but today, everyone was just excited. Rajji and Vicky left no stone unturned to tease the couples. Promising to repay him when he would get married, Maan and Dev endure the torture. Shortly before the brides were to descend, one of the guests asked for Dev's mother. Everyone present was well aware of Pammi and so were curious for her absence.
"Savitry Devji, aap ki dosri bahu nahin dikh rahin hain. (Savitry Devi, we cannot see your second daughter-in-law.)" The mood of everyone tensed visibly.
"Arre Sarita, main yahan hu. (Savity, I am here.)" Pammi waked into the hall, all eyes on her. As she got closer to Shekhar and Dev, she acted sad and ashamed. She folded her hands in front of them and apologized.
"Shekahr, mujhe maaf kardo. Dev beta, mujhe tumhe pehle hi bata dena chaiye tha. (Shekhar, forgive me. Dev, I should have told you before.)" Dev, who had gotten up from his seat at the mandap came to his mother. He lowered his hands and lifted her chin.
"Maa, main yeh kabhi nahin bhool sakta ke aap meri maa ho. (Mom, I can never forget that you are my mother.)" Pammi got happy hearing so and this made the other Khurana's extremely angry.
"Lekin aaj mujhe is baat pe bohut dukh hota hain. Kaash papa is ghar ko chod ke nahin gae hote, to aaj muhe apne hi parivaar walon ke aankho mein aakhen dalne mein itni sharmindagi nahin hoti. (But today I am very sad about that. I wish dad would have never left this house then I would have not felt ashamed of looking my own family into their eyes.)" Dev took his place on the mandap again. Pammi turned to her husband who took off his glasses and polished them.
"Skhekhar…" But he lifted his hand.
"I shouldn't have. I realize today what I lost when I thought I had gained so much more. It would be better if you leave. I do not want any problems during this wedding of my sons."
"But he is also my son…"
"You should have thought about him when you ran away from home and left us two to deal with your debt. Just leave Pammi. At least for now just go."
Geet and Naintara came down. They had no idea what had just occurred and Maan told everyone not to mention it. The wedding proceeded without any disturbance, well apart from maybe a few. During the varmala ceremony Maan annoyed Geet by dodging Geet's hands. Just like during the engagement, Archana and Dadi pulled his ears and Geet took the opportunity to put the garland around his neck. When Maan put sindoor on Geet's parting, some fell on her nose which made the ladies comment about how loving Maan will be and made Geet blush. The pheras went well and right after their wedding, Dev and Naintara wedded. After they were done, they had to take the blessings from their elders. Dev and Naintara started with Dadi, Archana, Shekhar and Naintara's parents. Dev hesitated and also bend down to touch Maan's feet as he was older to him but Maan stopped him. Dev's heart sank but Maan grabbed him and pulled him into their first brotherly hug. Although Maan did not say anything, Dev knew that Maan had finally accepted him.
The after wedding ceremony took place at Khurana Mansion with a few closer guests. Much to the grooms' dismay, the ladies won majority of the games and Geet proudly announced that Maan would now have to listen to her every word. Not that he doesn't do so already, Dadi whispered into Archana's ears.
With the wedding, Geet and Maan not only married but Maan finally got his family complete and much to Rano's happiness, she got a good match for her daughter. Or to say in Burgers words, a tailor made match.
It is going to be a year now since Maan and Geet married. Shekhar and Archana did not marry again but forgave each other and see each other as close friends. Shekhar had left Pammi for good and also asked Archana to marry him again but some wounds were too deep to heal and so Shekhar and the rest of the family respected her decision.
Vicky and Rajji are a couple now and Dadi is planning for another wedding right after Rajji finished with her education.
Dev has joined hands with Maan in his work and both brothers are doing well. Since the two have very demanding wives, they are glad to be able to give the responsibility to their sibling and spend some time with their wife.
Geet has been hired as official tailor for the Indian branch of Mafia. Her business is running well. HGTS has moved from the mall to a posh office area selected by Maan.
Rano now works with her husband in his shop, which moved right next to Geet's tailoring service. Burger and Pinky have given up their jobs in the Tailoring Service and run a tailoring school which they opened with the help of Adi who had actually not choice after the two ladies were done with him.
Life was perfect, Maan thought one fine day. His family was settled, his wife was next door and hopefully he would soon be surrounded by a bunch of sweet little babies. Maan smiled. He had never told Geet or anyone else for that matter why he had made Geet shift the tailoring service from the mall to the office building next door. It seemed out of place but from where he sat and even the other employees had briefly "commented" on it. But Maan was Maan. He did now want his dear wife to be away from him for too long. Nobody realised that the way both his office and the Tailoring service were lined up, he could secretly observe Geet with a binoculas. It was the perfect solution, or in Geet's language, a Tailor Made solution.
