Do you think that serials have a story?

I know you guys must be wondering what this poll has to do with this forum.I have made this thread and poll after reading the most incredible fact about ITA awards.
The writers' fraternity send a request notice to ITA for including a 'STORY WRITER' award as well in their series of recognition awards.
ITA denied the request saying serials have no stories.
According to me that was really the lamest excuse ITA could have given for not approving an award category.
Every serial starts with a concept and a strong storyline.Only because of the pressure from channels and trp related issues, a writer is made to deviate from the original story in his/her mind.I have written a good number of stories and I can really understand how demotivating such a denial could be for the all the writers of daily soaps.
Well,I don't need to say anything else.

If someone comes and tells me that Qubool hai does not have a story,I may literally wish to kill that person or bang the brainless head on a wall to knock some sense into it.
The life of each person is a story in itself ,no matter how many twists and turns life brings in the way of a person.
But again,this is my personal point of view.
I've made this thread not to create any conflicts or controversies but to know what you really think about the story line of a serial and whether you think that a serial actually has a story line or not.
So,start voting your opinions people.

I really feel bad for the writers of daily soaps.

Off course they have a story...may it be saas-bahu sagas or love sagas...there is obviously stories in every show...how can a serial move on if there is no story...I voted for Yes 👍🏼

the reply to this lame excuse by writers' fraternity was something to applause for.
ITA told that a serial goes on on the basis of dialogues and current tracks.

I already didn't like tv award shows coz I always found them biased and now this issue has really put off me.

Dont worry honey.. every serial has a story behind it which means something and our qubool hai is going too blow it away

Of course they have to have a story...I mean they must have something planned for at least the first 100 or so episodes. Every drama has a central theme...they have writers that know where to go with their show...and when they have reached the climax...and which tracks to pursue next. Sure TRPs influence things and you get an idea which track was popular with the audience and all...but if you don't have a story...you don't have a serial. 😆

Don't you guys have to say anything about this serious matter?
