Man raped to death by 5 'jealous' wives

LONDON:A wealthy Nigerian businessman was raped to death by five of his wives because they were jealous he was paying too much attention to the sixth one.

Uroko Onoja from Ogbadibo was having sex with his youngest wife when the remaining five reportedly set upon him with knives and sticks and demanded him to satisfy each of them too.

According to Nigeria's Daily Post, Onoja, who went on to have intercourse with four of his wives in a marathon sex session, stopped breathing as the fifth wife was making her way to the bed, the Daily Mail reported.

Two women have been arrested in the wake of extraordinary incident last week.

The businessman, who is understood to have returned from a bar at around 3 am on Tuesday, headed for the bedroom of his youngest wife.

His other wives, who were said to have held a meeting to discuss their intentions before Onuja returned home allegedly, ambushed Onoja for their conjugal rights. Although he tried to resist, they eventually overpowered him.

His youngest wife said that her five fellow wives ran into the forest when they realized their husband was dead. Village head Okpe Odoh said the matter had been reported to the police, who have already arrested two of the wives.

Can someone here provide me an atrocity committed by women on us men? i need to see some balance. paro turning people into devdas or salim and uncle akbar fighting over anarkali is not an option. even there anarkali ended up behind the wall. lol..

Although i find this wife sharing disgusting, i don't particularly blame the men and nor the women for that matter..I think the underlying problem is the education system, these people have been moulded with the belief that such acts are right just like we have been brought up to believe that such actions are condemnable...They live in such isolated cities that they have no connection with the real world, this is the only way of life for them...kids are snatched from ages 3,4,5 and brainwashed to beleive that school blowing is a pious act and it is their duty, wife beating, i beleive, root problem is in the way the adult observed the world as thea child...if they saw their father being abusive to their mother, sister, daughter then they too will think it is only natural to punish with such means...although not every individual is like this, a majority would be... We may feel diisgusted with such things, but the more important matter is how can we stop this for the sake of future generations?

I belong to the group "Men". Now as a member of that group I am totally aware that one can develop a bias towards our own or become too sympathetic towards women ignoring our own side. Let me assure you I have thought about those points before I wrote that. I am just not convinced about these factors. They do explain part of it but not the major part.

Foeticide is there among the most educated. A girl and a boy goes through same environment. It is ironic that you mentioned father abusing and not the other way around. Sure women versus women angle is there but women dont kill others in name of honor. There is no husband sharing enforced on men lol.

There is no absolute. Each outcome can be explained by many factors. However I believe gender is the most important factor here. Basically we have a physical imbalance between the two which men tend to use under certain circumstances and which we have used to come up with certain practices.

The solution that I see is in law and its implementation i.e. punishment. The so called civilized world is not only civilized because of education but because of justice system. We fear fines, we fear jail, we fear consequences here in west. This is the fundamental difference between desis and west. Even our educated do not follow law lol. Its not just men versus women. We see that in other issues as well like not paying taxes.

I agree with you for sure and that will be helpful but law needs to be strict against these practices and bring these people to justiice so next time one thinks 10 times before exercising their so called physical edge against women. Again I am not a feminist type. I just dont see evidence to the contrary lol.
