Maan walked through the corridors of KC with a myriad of feelings in him. Precisely, he was very happy that he didn't get engaged to Dia..that day, he had seen something in Geet's eyes which was making him restless'Everything had changed unknowingly after he bumped into Geet that night. Before that, he told himself that it was very much necessary for him to love Dia as she is indeed a very good girl & may even prove to be a very nice life partner. Besides, she was Dadi's choice who would always want the best for him but he had sensed his heart beating for Geet'.

Maan ascended upstairs not acknowledging Dadima who was present in the hall. She tried to call him but his mind was elsewhere. He walked in his room like a man surrounded by contradictory thoughts & emotions'.

"Geet! Nothing is proper'" sighed Dia "I had kept fast so that after the engagement Maan changes. He will begin to love me..But-- "

"I need to go Dia." Geet got up. Dia was surprised.

"What happened to you ?I am seeing that you are behaving really strange since yesterday.."

"Kuch nahi.."

Geet began to depart when Dia called out

"Geet'Maan will never fall for me..hai na?"

That questioned startled Geet. Without turning back, she said.

"This is your personal matter, I am no one to ascertain anything'"

Saying that Geet walked out.

The night air outside was abnormally chill. Geet rubbed her palms for warmth as she headed inside the PG.

"Sorry Dia, sach toh yeh hai, I wouldn"t ever want Maan to fall for you'isliye I don't want to pretend or give you false assurances'"

Next Day : Khurana Constructions

(Maan's cabin)

Rahul & Geet stood in front of Maan. Rahul, with his eyes to the floor & Geet looked at Maan. She knew he was angry but she felt that he was rather hurt by something more than being cross'

"Rahul, I had told you to look after Mr Sharma's project launch, have you started with it?" he asked stolidly.

"Y-Y-Y-Yes Sir.. I had already started it yeatarday'"

"If you have indeed started with it, what were you two doing in the coffee shop yesterday!!!" his voice raised with his eyes looking from Rahul to Geet.

Geet was shocked hearing him. "How did he come to know'?"

"S-S-S-Sir, we were discussing that only.."

"But I had told you to do it yourself, why did you take Geet then!!!!!!" Maan got up from his seat in anger'

Geet was aghast seeing him behave like this'"Why is he reacting so much'"

Rahul felt the urgency to stay mum.

"Speak up!!!"

"Sir, Rahul did not tell me to come with him, I went with him by my own choice."

Her voice was direct & frank. Maan looked at her in disbelief. That hurt him even more'.

He looked at Rahul & said with a voice of finality, "You are suspended for a few days."

Rahul is utterly shocked hearing that. "But Sir I--"

"Out!"

Rahul left helplessly. Geet was not going to take all this lying down.

"I have told you I went with him!! Still you suspended him with no fault of his!!!!"

Maan clutched her arm & yanked her closer. Geet was dumbfounded. She ceased to understand what was wrong with him. His eyes stared at her intensely'.

"Why did you go with him???!!!!!" his voice was pained.

"Why does it anyways matters to you'.!!! I can go out with anyone I wish'!!" she strained her voice.

He pulled her even more closer. Her heart beats rose.

"I asked you something'!!! Kyun gayi thi tum Rahul ke saath?!!!!"

"Because I didn't want you to---"

She stooped abruptly.

"Leave me Maan Sir please'."

He could sense tears building in her. He didn't want to hurt her' He released her.

"Sir, please don't suspend Rahul. You can suspend me if you think I have done something wrong'"

She left from there leaving Maan stunned at his own actions. All the employees had come to know how Rahul was suspended & minutes later how Maan had cancelled the suspension'.Such has never happened before...

That Night

( Khurana Mansion)

Dadima & Maan had a quite dinner. Maan finished his meal without speaking a word which was obviously a normal thing but that Dadima felt his quietness very abnormal. He was physically present but his mind was somewhere else as if deep into something'.

"Maan bte," Dadima rested her hand on his shoulder , "sab kuch thik toh hai na?"

Maan nodded & went upstairs to his room. Dadima's face grew grave'.

Maan stood by the window of his room. He was still very perplexed. His heart & mind both were restless'.as though they were telling him to accept something'but accept what'Perhaps he somewhere knew'but he didn't want to bring that in the forefront'

"Nahi!!! This really can't happen to me!!!Mujhe Geet se'Nahi!!! After whatever Sameera has done,I can't even think of love or any feelings related to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He closed his eyes tightly. Geet's images again made their way in his mind.

"I have to stay away from her!!! That's it!!!!"

The next three-four days became extremely difficult for Maan to implement what he had decided. It was a war which he was fighting with himself. His mornings started with Geet's thoughts & his nights ended after cursing his own self for avoiding her in the office! While in the Mansion, Maan would either laugh or smile as his mind went back to how she had fallen on him from the bus that night, when they had first met! How she had made him run after the MacD fiasco & later how they ran from the police! How much they had fought that night! He was very much angry on her them but now that was the most memorable night for him' And at other times he would be very angry on himself for permitting Geet's thoughts in his mind. Dadima was witness to all of his antics'

On the other hand, Maan's avoidance did not go down well with Geet. She was hurt but then she thought that perhaps this was the best way even she could move on'.

One morning Maan heard Dadima speaking on the phone.

"Dia bte, You know I am extremely happy with the way things are taking shape. Now-a-days Maan buhot khoye khoye se rehte hai, aisa pehle kabhi nahi hua'& sometime he even laughs & smiles! Can you believe that!! Shayad yeh aapka hi asar hai Maan par! Maan is changing for good. Hum toh bas yahi chahtey hai ki aap dono ki shaadi jaldi ho jaye aur aap iss ghar mein bahu--- "

"Dadima!!!" his sudden voice startled her. She cut the call.

Maan hurriedly came downstairs

"I can't marry Dia because mein kisi aur se--"

He stopped after realizing what he had just announced & what he was about to say'That shocked Dadima to the core..

"Par achanak se--"

"I-I am getting late for office'"

He left leaving Dadima perplexed.

On the other hand tears rolled down Geet's eyes as Dadima had mistakenly phoned her instead of Dia'Her heart was pierced hearing Dadima's words'.Maan had fallen for Dia!!!!

Geet joined her fingers into fists, trying hard not to let any tear escape her eyes'

"Calm down Geet'calm down'it's okay'you knew from the beginning that it was bound to happen'aur waise it is you who came between Maan & Dia'& you know what you should be really very happy for Dia. She will feel so good when she will hear that Maan is falling for her'hai na? So lets go & tell her Maan has begin to love her & may be by telling her this your guilt of having tried to harm her will also vanish'"

She opened her eyes & tried to smile. She immediately raised down her PG to Dia's house. Geet was surprised to see her car in front of the Oberoi Residence & Dia's driver was loading some bags in the dickey.

"Are you going somewhere Dia?"

"Yeah'going to my aunty's place for a few days."

"Actually I-I wanted to tell you something'"

"Yes?"

Geet had to strain her voice but make it appear normal & joyous.She told Dia everything whatever Dadima had told her but Geet did not mention that Dadima had called her by mistake instead of Dia.

"'.& all of us have noticed this change behavior of his in office! I told you na he will defo fall for you!"

But Dia did not react the way Geet had expected her to "Thank you Geet for your assurance but'we both know it's not possible. Maan can never love me, it's a fact'" she said sadly'

Dia left. Dadima had listened to their entire conversation from her car parked nearby'..
