I know nani had mentioned somebody called dhruv long long long back but she mentioned about him only once.Probably the cvs were thinking of introducing a new character at that time but later they skipped it and till today we have not seen anybody called Dhruv in the show.Nobody talks about Dhruv in the serial.

Exactly, Barun is styled to look older and his character is more serious. If Rohit is styled properly and given younger mannerisms, he can pass as younger than Arnav.

In one episode, Nani mentioned Dhruv. I can find the youtube video for you or look in the forum. There are posts with the video where she mentions Dhruv.
