Everyone on the East Coast, you are in my prayers. It isn't looking good, but lets all pray that this storm passes with as little damage as possible.

Contrary to general reactions, I actually quite enjoyed today's episode. It gave more insight into the layers Khushi doesn't usually shed unless she is really disturbed and insecure. Either that, or I have lost my mind, which could be plausible too. 😃

Arnav's anger and hurt clearly evident, he tells her to get it done once and for all. If the DNA test will prove it to her once and for all and clear her silly notion, or so he thinks, that Aarav is not his son, he rather she rip the bandaid of his trust and do the damn thing. It is a step to bold for Khushi, she does love this man with all her soul and trusts him.

Her heart believes him and every word he says "we were just dating" (not "seeing anymore!), but her brain has processed everything else and she is on a mission to give another father-less child a father because she thinks she can. It goes deeper than her insecurities about Arnav here, she gets how Aarav feels, she herself is an orphan, and was only a little bit older when she lost her own parents. Whoever is playing this, knows Khushi's weaknesses all too well, it's too much of a coincidence that it all hits one by one on her weaknesses. The drawings today were an indication to that.

Khushi, you really cannot read someone else's diary. Doesn't matter what it is for. You just don't. But it obviously attracts you too much because you just can't help "being helpful". The "hawa" excuse (can't say I've never used it, but pages do not move that high with a blow! Seriously CVs!) and she's determined and so she reads it. "Akhru sa tha, lekin accha bhi laga, kahin yeh Arnav ji to nahin hai", mirrors her feelings, perhaps her initial feelings when she saw the softer side of Arnav Singh Raizada for the first time, during Rakhi 11' perhaps.

She continues reading it with dread and fear of "woh ladka" being Arnav ji. But really, either the London Eye was a complete blooper, or an indication that Arnav is not the man Sheetal fell in love with. People go to grad schools or she may she have transferred, whatever it is, happened after she and Arnav broke up and she met someone else in London. If anything, that is your proof against Sheetal Khushi. Either that, or the CVs have gotten London, England and Boston, Massachusetts confused!

Her ultimate breaking point today was the fear of the "deed being done", she desperately pleads to her biggest confidante that nothing like this may have happened. Its not the deed that is the problem, its the seed. If Lavanya were to come back on a random day, she would embrace her selflessly and with no insecurities. If Sheetal came without a child, she would've attempted to befriend her too. The child is a living reminder to her that her blissful marital world has numbered days because Arnav's "real family" needs and deserves him. The pages torn again indicates that Khushi's emotions and insecurities are being played with.

Khushi has decided it and declared it, Aarav is Arnav's son. It doesn't matter what Arnav says, all that matters is the evidence she has. Her evidence cannot be wrong. She is rapidly walking towards her breaking point. Aarav questioning his mother (intentionally or intentionally) about the whereabouts of his father will be her breaking point. This is Khushi, a grand announcement within the family could be made by her. Except this time, she'll take Arnav down with her. We'll get to see two breaking points.

Arnav is not going to be happy about this declaration and accuse when it happens. He will be furious and rightfully so and he will lash out. The hurt and anger that he will feel and express will be different. This is heartbreak of a different kind. He decided to bury his past for Khushi and she has not been able to believe him when he has repeatedly told her Aarav is not his son. But Khushi is Khushi, she's complexed and needs to please and make things right in her way, even if its at the cost of her happiness. We've seen this before, she made the effort to go and stop the dowry for Payal's wedding, she had to show Lavanya the advantages of a married life, she got married to Arnav for Payal, she believed he Lavanya and married her because of kundali dosh, she's insecure. Bottom line is, she doesn't believe deep down that anyone can be truly hers. She fears that all relationships in her life will always be taken away from her like her parents were. So she does whatever she can for the people who have loved her as some sort of gratitude.

This isn't going to go down well this time because this time round, she does't realize what she's doing wrong and Arnav will have enough of it when confronted on the big day, and he will not hold her hand and walk her through it when she goes and has a heart to heart with him. This is something she needs to and will figure out and learn on her own. I believe there's a Maha Episode on Saturday? The showdown could start on Thurs/Fri and carry into the maha episode. This one will be good. This track looks simply screwed up from a birds eye view, but its much nicer with glasses on. Khushi's self-sacrificing and pleasing nature needs something like this or she will never stop. This will end in character growth for her, she's still immature and to match Arnav's maturity which is much more than a 29 year old posses, she needs to grow up a little.

Side notes:-

I do think its a set up. ASR is the one character who has not been butchered. Everyone else has been to accommodate him. If he's certain the child isn't his, it isn't. This isn't a character out of that movie Astiva where chauvinism trumps all. This is a man who took his older sister's responsibility as a 15 year old, he doesn't shy away from it. If something was odd and out of place with Sheetal back in 2006, he would've picked up on it. This love was one sided, if her diary was about him, that is. And if it was, CVs please explain the London Eye as an exchange trip or an academic trip or something!

Precap, from what we know so far, Arnav and Sheetal were reall good friends, even if it was for a short time... there is nothing "in love" if he let her win a few times. Happens all the time between friends, it can be completely platonic. Khushi is obviously sad because of all the endless possibilities she has cooked up. He is not being insensitive, he's talking to an old friend of the old days, what is the big deal in that?!

Edited:
Gonna keep discussions ongoing here for the next few days, too caught up in other things and a flu. Stay safe everyone 😊

Finally finished watching the episode again and on a second watch, I did not find the episode to be the disaster many found it to be. Trust me, I've sat through worse not only with IPK but with other shows as well.

Thankfully this was no dream, Arnav is in the know and Khushi predictably ripped up the results by putting her faith in Arnav instead. Arnav once again reiterated he and Sheetal just dated nothing more, it is something that should bring relief to Khushi's mind but unfortunately that it did not.

Khushi runs into a very rude Aarav who is back to being the brat I can't stand. Khushi sees his paintings of a family and it immediately hits an emotional chord with her. Khushi is an orphan she has been there and knows the importance of a parent in a child's life. It is something that is very dear to her so her sympathizing with Aarav was understandable

Khushi hating that she has not one but two people angry at her tries to make things right with at least one but Aarav is not interested and conveniently takes his precious time in the washroom while Khushi spots an outdated diary. Khushi's curiosity gets the best of her, we've all been there and she ends up reading the diary which only brings back those insecurities and fears she tried hard to bury just moments before.

Here's the thing about Khushi, I don't think its about not trusting Arnav because she has full faith in who he is now but his past is a different thing. I know he said nothing happened between him and Sheetal that it did not go beyond dating but it is not that simple for Khushi. Think about it, here she has her husband's ex who returns that too with a carbon copy mini me of her husband wouldn't any woman in her position be suspicious?? These doubts and insecurities are not without reason

As to why Khushi is not suspecting Sheetal, simple what we as viewers see and what Khushi sees are two different things. From Khushi's POV, Sheetal has done nothing to make her suspicious. Sheetal has not made any moves on Arnav or given any indication she wants him back. Right now all Khushi has to go on is her gut instinct which is rightfully telling her something is wrong. Her thoughts continue to be conflicting, should she listen to her heart or her mind? Its something very similar to what Arnav went through not too long ago and even though they've come a far way this is not something that can be ignored when a child is involved.

Going by this episode, everything points to a set up but by whom? Sheetal is obviously one with something to hide especially with her look of relief when those results were torn. Add to that the number of coincidences that keep popping up, latest being that diary. There is something going on, a game is being played on Arnav and Khushi and it is by someone who knows both quite well.

Precap, yes it bothered me because I find it completely out of character for ASR to be this laid back with Sheetal, this is the same guy who dated Lavanya yet was never this way with her. It is a poor attempt to sell a rather decent track.

This storm is hitting everyone hard, where I live its extremely windy outside and raining. There is possibility of power outages later tonight, stay safe everyone!!

Okayish Episode. Execution stank big time. But nothing new in that of course.👎🏼

Keeping it short today. I hope. If I don't get carried away that is.😳

  • Arnav yells at Khushi when he realises she thinks he is Aarav's father. He asks her why? She replies "Aise hi.." This makes him madder. Khushi dear, that was not the right thing to say. "Are you out of your mind Khushi?" Yes Arnavji. She is. That extra terrestrial 5 year old kid with a very hot mother who happens to be your ex has ruined poor baby's mansik santulan.😕

  • He tells her to open the report and clear once and for all that they are not related. Khushi contemplates whether to open the envelope with Sheetal making ajeeb faces in the background and much to fandoms chagrin tears the report. Hai!!!! Satyanash! Why!!! Now we need to sit through more of this suspicious torture!! Cvs you sadists!!!😡

  • She tells him she has bharosa on him. He tells her, very matter of fact, that he and churail only dated. Nothing else. Bas. There we have it. Arnav's conscience is clear. There is no way the kiddo is his. Toh phir kiska namoona hai yeh???😲

  • I don't know if I want to write about the rest of the epi. Khushi really is Khushi. Totally in character.

  • She interrupts Aarav painting and ends up mooh kala-ing Sheetal in the pic.

  • Rightly so. Means she has a kala face for hiding all of these secrets👏

  • Khushi realises Aarav misses his father and wants to help him. Because Khushi can't see anyone's dard.

  • She comes across Sheetal's "dear diary" very conveniently placed for the world to see and has only 5 pages.🤔

  • She describes a guy who she is beginning to like and he takes her to the London eye and the cinema.

  • I don't think this is our Arnav. Its someone else since Arnav was in the States at that time.

  • Khushi is suspicious again and thinks maybe Arnav doesn't remember.

  • Now Khushi does trust Arnav. No doubt about that. She knows Arnav is not lying but what is she supposed to do when all the evidence are staring at her in her face?

  • She can't help but dig deeper. To clear everything. To find out the truth. This is no small thing. She needs to know. And the girl being the way she is can't help being Sanka devi while investigating.

  • School scene. Pointless blah!🥱

  • Precap – reserving judgement as they are often misleading. Will wait and see. Although I will say. Sheetal was his friend and no matter how khadoos a person is they will always be comfortable with a friend.😛 Unfortunately, arnavji has a churail for a friend who was also a girlfriend and has a son exactly like him.

So haan Khushi is insecure because of that. We hate it because khushi hates it. Arnavji is dumb because he is a guy and they don't get it the point.

    Looking forward tomorrow.😃

And Sandywasis. Stay safe and indoors. This too shall pass. Safely. Inshallah.😊

Riya 🤗

I skipped the episode...just read the live updates.

So far, I thought the suicide track was the worst...but now this track has taken over that one in my opinion. Atleast the suicide track was wrapped up in one week...but here Khushi's tomfoolery continues...

I cannot watch Khushi acting like a clown in the most serious situations.

I cannot connect with her at all just now.

Had they shown the track in a more serious tone, like the kidnapping track, the impact would have been something else.

Disguising herself and going to school, serving tea to the staff...what the heck are the CVs even thinking? Is this Comedy Circus? Its ridiculous.

Its just Monday...Lord knows what more ludicrous things they are going to show.

@ Members on the East Coast: Prayers for your and your family's safety...take care.

Hi Riya and All😊

Great post Riya and i loved your insight into Khushi's character; that is exactly it; this is her insecurities getting the better of her. She is worried to death about loosing Arnav not because she does not believe in his love but because she fears that the child is his. You have written it very well so i will not elaborate; the problem here is while i felt terrible for the Khushi in your post i was finding it hard to sympathize and relate to Khushi onscreen today. The comedy in this situation is just not working for me😕😕. While i loved that she chose to tear the DNA test to show her trust in Arnav the fact that she was doubting him the next minute does not hold true to the character sketch we have seen so far. This is the girl who gave herself completely to him a night before the wedding because she trusts him, she had unwavering faith that he would show up at the mandap for the wedding and even said to all that she knows he loves her more than himself. Then why can't she trust him when he clearly implied that he has not been intimate with Sheetal; why can't she share her insecurities with him instead of sayins she got the test done "aise hi" and resorting to investigation again

So far i had no problem with Arnav and his being nice with Sheetal because i felt he was just being cordial with a guest/friend. But this whole "i was a jovial normal kid in college; one who lets his GF win to make her happy" is just a big contradiction of his character so far. I get that these instances are being used to enhance Khushi's suspicions and push her over the edge but the CV's are messing big time with the Arnav and Khushi we know and have come to love😡😡

Let's see how the BB match plays out tomorrow and how the rest of the week pans out but I've been extremely patient with the contract marriage, suicide, kidnapping, DKS tracks but am fast losing my patience with this one🤢

The storm seems to be gaining strength and I'm hoping that we do not face any power outages. Stay dry and safe all..

East Coasters you guys are all in my prayers...this too shall pass!

Riya...fabulous post! 👏

I only watched the first two minutes and the precap...didn't have the heart to sit through the rest. Her crazy imagination I can deal with, but dressing up like a peon serving tea to teachers I will pass. 🤢

The first two minutes were good and had so much potential. I thought they wrapped it up too quick. Was hoping for Arnav having a flashback with the family making comments so that he could understand what may have driven her to do what she did. 😒

Khushi's insecurities are not about Arnav's love for her but about how a child from the past may effect her future with Arnav. In my opinion she is not even scared about what Arnav will do but what she will feel is the right thing to do. 😕

Initially the precap bothered me but when I thought about it, he acted like a man without anything to hide. Even though he knew his wifes suspicions his conscience was clear. We use the Arnav that we were shown in the beginning as a measuring stick but he may have been different in college. He did admit to going on dates and listening to music before so its quite acceptable that he may have played Basketball and let his girlfriend win.

Riya, good to see some positivity! You are right about Khushi, I've never seen her so deeply disturbed before but maybe because she has never been so afraid of losing someone like she feels with Arnav. That fear is consuming her and the fact there is even the slightest possibility he could slip away scares her to death. Khushi was all set to drop this but that painting, the diary just set those insecurities back into play, could it be true? It was a feeling she was unable to shake despite Arnav's words.
I found the hawa to be hilarious, if only it was that easy to snoop!

Khushi is truly in two minds about Aarav, on one hand there is everything pointing to the possibility he could be Arnav's and then there's Arnav's words and her heart which refuse to believe this could be true. I felt CVs did a good job once again showing her conflicted and battling with her thoughts. Its going to be a painful road to some much needed character growth for her.

Feel better Riya 🤗

Ippy, the execution is a mess and one flaw that the PH seriously needs to improve on. They have a decent track with a lot of potential but the execution is all over the place and in the process the leads are being compromised here, the school scene was a total waste of time and the precap was horrendous!! Sorry Ippy and Riya but Sheetal was more than just a friend and the fact he once again goes into detail that too after knowing Khushi's insecurities does not go with his character. ASR would not have been so laid back with Sheetal and Arnav would not be this insensitive to Khushi especially knowing what it feels like. I know the precap can be misleading but I did not like what I see, hope the episode is not the disaster I dread it to be!

Haven't watched the episode.

I was not against this track but reading the updates I guess the execution sucks again. Khushi's all insecurities are justified. Her Arnavji told her that the kid can not be his but still her instinct tells something is wrong and she continues her investigation. This is Khushi. From the beginning we have seen how Khushi's instinct tells her about people and issues. But the way they executed it looks pathetic because she is portrayed as a woman who doesn't trust her husband even after knowing that he doesn't lie.

Reading the precap, it looks like this is a new ASR whom we have not met before. He was playing basket ball and letting Sheetal win? It is a wrong way of portraying ASR in two ways. One is obviously he was not a chill-dude who will let anyone else win in his life. We have seen how winning was everything for ASR and it was only Khushi who changed him. The second one, how can ASR be so insensitive to Khushi even after knowing her insecurities.

This track like any other track in IPK is not a problem. Problem is not only their execution, they don't give a proper closure to any track.
