The Ultimate Confession- Prem so in love with Mukti
Prem looks deep into her eyes. With tears clearly evident. Eyes filled with passion and love. He has one of his hand up against the tree on which Mukti is leaning looking back at him with a confused yet somewhat fearful expression.
Prem:I..Love..You
Mukti stares at him in disbelief for a few seconds
Prem: I..Love You
Mukti looks away to avoid eye contact and musters up all her strength to refuse him
Mukti: I don't love you
Prem: But I…Love…You
She continues to look away, too scared to look in those eyes filled with only love and affection for her. He stands before her staring at her with one of his hands against tree blocking all means of escape for her.
Mukti: I told you right Prem, I don't love you
Prem: But I Love You
She cannot bear to look at him anymore so she continues her futile protests of telling him to leave
Mukti: Prem, go from here. She utters in a hushed tone with tears filling her eyes. He shakes his head almost crying.
Mukti: I told you right,leave. She tries to sound more forceful but it doesn't quite have the impact on him.
He shakes his head again.
Prem: I'm not going to go…because I love you very much. His eyes filled with tears ready to flow.
She is all ready to start crying too. He lowers his head.
Prem: I know you are not in the position to accept my love. She finally looks up at him with tears rolling down her cheeks.
Prem: Naturally…Once I have rejected your love. He looks up to face her again so she looks away immediately.
Prem: Then you too should get atleast one chance of rejecting my love. She looks up at him in total disbelief with tears so evident. She lowers her gaze again
Prem: I still remember the day when you told me "I love you" His eyes filled with tears.
Mukti is shown expressing her love in total frustration, she screams "I love you"!!!
Mukti looks at him sadly.
Prem: And after that day, I have caused you a lot of pain. He sobs with tears running down his face too. He looks at her. Today I am feeling the same pain. Mukti's eyes look up at down at an unfamiliar Prem who seems to have transformed completely.
Prem: Since I have realized that…I love you. I thought it was too late.
Mukti is now crying very badly, she closes her tearful eyes and some more tears flow down her face.
Prem: And now I don't wan to lose you..I love you. He says with his face all wet with tears.
She closes her eyes then avoids his gaze again as he continues to look at her so closely.
Prem: I know that…He points his finger at her heart..that…in some place…in some small corner over there…perhaps my name remains..
Mukti cries silently..
He comes closer and Mukti looks away.
Prem: I know I am there..I know..that you still love me
He looks up at her face. Their faces now just inches away. Mukti sobs silently not daring to say a word or look at him.
Prem: And I also know that along with this Prem is the hatred for him! He says forcefully, his voice filled with nothing but sorrow and regret.
Prem:I know…
He raises his hand to touch her forehead but she moves her face indicating that she doesn't want him to touch her. He immediately takes his hand away. He also withdraws his other arm which was previously blocking her way but Mukti stands frozen, too stunned to say or do anything.
Prem: Nafrat ka rishta toh bahut nibhaa liya..Ab mei pyaar ka rishta nibhaana chaahta hoon. Mukti continues to cry and look away. He touches her arm just to bring her a bit closer. She looks up at him. He uses his hand to wipe his face which is now soaking with tears. He takes his other arm away from the tree, completely unblocking her way.
Prem: Look Mukti..In my life I have never given importance to destiny. She stares back at him, helplessly crying.
Prem: But look..today what a joke fate has played on me..It has made me stand here on this path where I have to leave my love in the hands of fate. He sobs like a devastated, lost man.
He looks up at the sky
Prem: You know even His sense of humour is very funny…But its ok..
He puts his left arm again against the tree bringing him closer to Mukti
Prem: Lets see…They both stare at each other lets see pyaar nibhaanei ka anjaam bhi kaisa hota hai..He looks straight into her eyes.
Prem: Because no one can change this fact..That I love you…he points to the sky and says not even He! His voice weakening once again. He looks straight into her eyes and says forcefully
Prem: Now you are my reality and my Passion. Tears still so evident in his eyes. She stares back at him. Totally stunned with the intensity of his words. Also amazed at the passion, love so visible in his eyes.
He touches her hair slightly then withdraws both his arms.
Prem: You know its so funny.. Until yesterday tum mujhe pyaar ka vaasta deiti rahin aur aaj mein tumhei..His face completely drenched with tears. She continues to stare at him in disbelief, with tears rolling down her cheeks too.
He scratches his forehead with his fingers trying hard to think
PRem: Whats that saying in hindi..He closes his eyes and clicks his fingers hoping that would help him recall
Prem: Hmm..Haan. He looks up at her. "Pyaar Ke Muqaam Par..Kabhi Hum Na Thay.. He brings both his arms to hold the tree again and leans much closer to her…Toh Kabhi Tum Na Thay"
Mukti cries even more..
Prem: "Love you" He backs away as she closes her eyes again, tears rushing down her cheeks.
He puts his hand in his pocket and uses his other hand to grab Mukti's hand. She opens her eyes to look at him. He opens her hand and carefully holds it, he brings something out of his pocket and puts it in her hand. Then he touches her fingers so they would firmly hold what he just handed to her.
Prem: Fuse..For the electricity at your hostel.
He waves his fingers to say bye in his usual UD way, but this time without smiling. He walks away leaving her still leaning against the tree. Too stunned, touched. She stays frozen in her spot, holding the fuse in her hand with tears running down her face. Still not being able to believe she heard him say what she wanted to for all these years.
