Chulbuli aunty of SBS said that Avinesh will be soon seen as Akbar in the yet to be launched Ekta Kapoor serial ' Jodha Akbar ' .

Mahek of Ruk Jaana Nahin fame will be playing the role of Jodha

I just said what I saw in the segment. Not sure whether he is still considered. Until the promo of show is on air we cant say anything. They keep on changing the cast na 😊 ?
