Khushi was now trembling in fear anticipating what might be coming as Arnav must have told Anjali about Shyam and her and now Anjali will also disown her. Her breathing was becoming hard and she was feeling suffocated now but then her breathing almost stopped and her eyes shot open what she heard

"I am sorry Khushi" Khushi and Anjali both glared him in shock

"Main ne tumhaare saath bohat ghalat kia ….. I agree ….. mujhe yeh sub nahi kerna chahiye tha ….. please mujhe maaf ker do …. Aur ……." He paused as he could see the mixed expression of shock, fear and anxiety on Khushi's face

What was he saying! If he was apologizing then he did not tell anything to Anjali but what she should do …. How can she forget the night when he threw her out and then countless sleepless nights she had! The trust she lost on the creature called Man! Can this one sorry less the pain she went through in these three years

Answer was a 'No' but then she looked at Anjali who was hoping to hear a Yes from her. She was seeking forgiveness for her brother though she was quiet but her eyes were saying it all. Khushi decided what she has to do

"Khushi ….. I really am sorry" He said again seeing her lost and she hated it! She know he was faking it for Anjali but then in all these year she knew through Payal that Anjali was ill though she never told her the reason for it and she also never asked but today she cannot give her pain from her side

"Aa …aap please maafi mat maangain ….. Humain uss din aap se jhagra hi nahi kerna chahiye tha" Now it was Arnav's turn to be shocked. She was siding him! But then he understood why she said it only because of Anjali

"Ky … Kya tum ne Chotte se jhagra kia tha" Anjali could not believe that they fought that night and then Khushi left the house

"Haan Di …. yeh hum se keh rahe the ke hum apni studies ghar pe hi reh ke complete karein per hum chahte the ke hum hostel mein rahein bus issi liye hamara jhagra ho gaya" She was not meeting her eyes with Anjali but then Anjali being simple believed what she told

Anjali came and hugged Khushi while Khushi looked at Arnav with piercing eyes. Arnav smiled and nodding his head thanked her for doing it

"Toh ab hamari Khushi hamare saath rahe gi" Anjali said breaking the hug while Khushi was now terribly firgthened

"D …Di abhi meri studies complete nahi ….." Before she could complete Anjali stopped her

"Bus ab main kuch nahi sunoon gi …. I can't believe aik choti si fight ke peeche tum ne 3 saal waste ker diye"

"Haan Di Khushi hamare saath rahe gi" Arnav said looking at Khushi and she has no option than to agree

"Aakash tum Di ko ghar le jao, main hoon Khushi ke pass" Doctors had shifted Khushi to a private room. Lavanya asked Khushi to stay with her but then she tell her to go back home as Aakash can stay with her. After Lavanya left Arnav asked Aakash to take Anjali with him as she needs rest

"No Bhai I can stay, you look tired and ……"

"No I am fine" Arnav cut his sentence and in all these years for the first time Aakash has seen something different that was his cocern towards Khushi. He thought it could be the best chance both Arnav and Khushi can talk over the matter and resolve their issues as he always asked Khushi to do it but everytime she divert the conversation and he kept silent about it.

"Ok Bhai" Aakash went out of the hospital, Anjali was already in the car. After they left Arnav kept standing at the mid of the corridor unless a nurse asked him to take a seat. He realized where he was and then taking small steps he came to her room

When he entered the room he found Khushi deep asleep because of the tranquilizer. He moved towards the other bed in the room and lay down facing her, looking at her. She was looking pale, three years before she was cute, innocent, chirpy and bubbly and after three years she has turn in to a mature girl. He regretted what he had done to her that night but he has no option, he did not thought even in his nightmares that Shyam could actually go this low that he never cared she was young and she was his wife's sister. He took all his teasings of 'Saali aadhi ghar wali' just as threats but he actually tried to hurt her. That moment he did not thought about anything but her. He purposely was harsh on her but he never wished for her death nor about her heart attack. He closed his eyes hoping to get some sleep

Both men were facing each other glaring each other in frenzy. Although he was three years elder than Arnav but age doesn't matter, he was far behind him in his achievements. It was his poor education record that he was in the same year as was Arnav in the college.

"Tum ne usse mujh se cheena hai Arnav" He gritted his teeth

"Woh kabhi tumhari thi hi nahi, admit it" Arnav tried to keep him calm

"Iss ka badla toh tumhain daina hoga Arnav, aur I promise main tum se tumahre sub rishton ko cheen loon ga" This was enough for Arnav to lose his temper

"Don't you dare, meri family ke saath kuch bi karne ke barre mein sochna bhi mat" Shyam smirked at him

"Huhh ….. Shuru tumhari behan se karte hain …. Anjali" That time too Arnav just took it as a threat and he lost his sister and before three years also he take Shyam's words as a threat

"Khushi I am sorry"

"JUST GO AWAY KHUSHI"

"NAHI" Her eyes shot open and she stared at ceiling, drenched in sweat she failed to remember where she was, then she looked around and remembered she was in hospital. She sighed and tried to get up when two strong arms helped her to sit down. She looked up and surprised to see him

"Aa ….aap ….. Raa …. Raat ko …Aaka …. Aakash Bhai the yahan ……" She stammered while he moved back

"Aakash Di ko le ke ghar chala gaya tha, I was here"

"Kyun?" She cannot help asking it

"Meri dector se baat hui hai, tumhain afternoon mein discharge ker dain ge, but hum yahan se jaldi jaaien ge …. Tumhari friend ke ghar se tumhaara samaan laine" He simply ignored her question

"Hum ghar nahi jaaien ge" It was the first time she completed without stammering

"You will aur koi choice nahi hai tumhaare pass" He said firmly

"Nahi …. Hum nahi jaaien ge, woh ghar ab hamara nahi hai …. Aap ne hi kaha tha ke hum … hum phir wahan na aaien …. Hum nahi jaaien ge" More than his words the thing which was fearing her the most is to face Shyam. What if he again try to do something like that with her and if Arnav again threw her out of the house then this time maybe she cannot survive.

He knew why he was hesitant to go Raizada Mansion. It was not his words which she was reminding him but the fear! And he could clearly see that fear on her face. He has avoided the reality for three years but he cannot continue to do it for the rest of his life. He came to her and sat beside her on the bed. She lifted her gaze to look at him as he hold her hand

"Kal raat agar tumhain yeh lag raha tha ke main ne sirf Di ki waja se tum se maafi maangi hai, toh aisa kuch nahi hai" Confusion was quite visible in her eyes, "I ….. Main such mein tum se maafi maang raha hoon, I am really sorry Khushi for everything, please" Her eyes filled with tears as he said those words.

"Aik sorry kya woh sub takleefain khatam ker sakti hai joh hum ne inn 3 saalon mein daikhi ….. agar haan toh hum aap ko maaf ker dain ge" Tears were now rolling on her cheeks, She could not forget all the hardships she faced in these three years and hence she cannot forgive him

"Nahi" He shook his head, "Tum theek keh rahi ho, main intezaar karoon ga Khushi jub tum mujhe maaf ker sako" Quietly he pulled his hands from her and went out of the room leaving her all shocked. For the first time in her whole life Arnav agreed to something she said, He was asking for forgiveness and he was not mad at her. For a moment Khushi felt all her pain which she beared in these three years gone at his sorry. Her heart was saying that his one sorry can indeed mend everything which she has faced in past. At the moment she realized that she cannot stay away from Arnav, she fought with herself in all these years to make her believe that Arnav was her husband and not what she consider him from childhood but today she realized that she loves Arnav more than anything in this world that she can even forget all the pain which he had given her in the past. Her heart forgave him for his every doing.
