According to the update, Jai makes her promise on their unborn child's life and also in front of God. She told him the truth!! I completely agree with you and I mentioned the same in another post as well. Bani has confessed her love for Jai and she was true to her self and the love of her life , but she also had to turn cold coz she had to stick to her original plans...

IF BANI IS TURNING COLD TO GET DIVORCE THEN JAI IS WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR BANI'S KHUSHI .SO; WHAT IS THE NEED FOR THIS PLAN WHICH SHE HAS SPOILED BY TELLING JIGS? HAD BANI USED HER BRAIN SHE WOULD HAVE HANDLED HER CASE IN A BETTER WAY.

You're right hun.............but let me put my point across............Bani might be right in her own sense, but seeing your own in pain can never give you happiness, so in effect Bani's destroying herself!

She is totally in love with Jai - we know that!.........I think half the house does, but this isn't sacrifice, In a way I think she's punishing herself..........and all that crying can no way be healthy!

So Bani just needs to pack all this up quick and get out of there before she has a nervous breakdown!

Thats the difference I think. She is not sacrificing which does not necessary make her the "typical" mahaan bahu. Instead she is helping the man she loves, however she also knows that he ruined her family life (unintentionally). Where Jai has given her the biggest happiness in life, he has also given her the biggest sadness.
