Envy shoots at others and wounds itself-Sandhya

Envy consists in seeing things never in themselves, but only in others. If you desire glory, you may envy Napoleon, but Napoleon envied Caesar,Caesar envied Alexander, and Alexander, I daresay, envied Hercules, who never existed- Bertrand Russels

What Sandhya has is envy not greed. That is a difference between the two:
Greed is not always destructive, while envy is. Greed is the desire to have more and, depending how that desire is acted upon, can be beneficial or detrimental. When envy, on the other hand, is acted upon, there is no good, only bad.

For simple example: Greed is wanting for more marks in ur exam, what do u do? u study hard,Perform well.Where as Envy kicks in when u are not happy with someone else getting more marks than you.Do u think anything positive can come out of Envy, nope!Even if U work hard to get more marks, you don't end up gaining much coz ur main crux of action was negative.

Sandhya here is not nursing greed/lalach; it is envy/jalan, for not having what Mansi has.Till Mansi was not in picture she nurtured greed, she wanted her husband to be more successful to have an upper hand, to be more authoritative. She saw things through the prescriptive of her and her husbands bright future.

But now what she posses is dark envy. She is playing cheap, pathetic games to separate Manasi-shivi, she wants her husband to progress so that she can be treated well in the house. Envy has added a whole wrong dimension to her greed.

Again the actor is doing a very convincing job. All I want to say is have greed in life, all need to have some greed in life to succeed, give greed a right direction with your sincerity and hard work, but stay miles away from envy.

All I can say to Sandhya is a beautiful teaching from Lord Krishna to Arjuna in Mahabharat:

"The mind is fickle; it is in fact villainous, it won't obey you. Know therefore that you should be in the driver seat of this vehicle, that is the body-mind-intellect. Every time the mind misbehaves, bring it back to the rightful position by using your discretionary intellect. You have to do this constantly and continuously. Never chicken out. You may have to carry on this struggle life after life until you succeed. You will succeed, if you have My Grace"

PS: I being a Hindu ,relate more with Hindu teaching, so I use them in my posts.I'm not being biased or religious out here, just stating my point of view on a character. I feel every character teaches u something good or bad, strangly today Sandhya's character has enlightened this for me.

Citra Maiyya Ji ki Jay Ho

Kya Post Mara Hi...oops I am sorry reverend Chitra Maiyya

wo kya hai naa paidaaishi tapori hoon ...

so dont know much how to talk to great people like u

But then I remember flowers are the best means of appreciation

So here are some for u from my garden which just bloomed by reading your post

As for sandhya well she is a very normal character mostly found in every household.

My advice to her would be better put her sharp mind in some constructive work

Why take badooain by breaking true friendship

Love and give love sooner or later people around u will understand your point and reciprocate as well

Nice post 👏

a bit too heavy for my light mind😆

but then jealousy gives nothing it just burns u

I wont say i am very great and not jealous but then its better to ignore and move on rather then get stuck due to jealousy and start doing nonsenses

there are bigger things in life then to sit and plot against fellow members of the household

beeter read books ,write , dance or learn cooking like Shivani or join club like Mansi

BTW I also comment in purple same pinch

Hey sahilshibi, what is ur name? I'm chitra 😛.
Well dear to summarize all I want to say in this post is, everyone has greed in them it is not wrong, untill it is directed by the right attitude and force, but never nurse envy inside you 😊.
Actually I dont like characters like sandhya, they are spinless, pathetic characters, but strangely they do teach us what not to do, what not to be, and that is what I have highlighted in this topic😊
BTW I like ur purple more 😳

Excellent post chitra! read it twice..every sentence is beautifully written..although i am a sikh i do believe in the teachings of bhagvat geeta, i haven't read it but have seen those episodes of mahabharata in which krishan recites the lines of this holy book to arjun..very rightly said about greed and envy that 'greed is a good guy and envy is a bad guy'..a simplified version of chitra's enlightening mantra for us tapories and light headed people..lol! felt like writing something light, phew! after the heavy doze of zindagi ki sachai! looking forward to more such posts! keep writing dear!
