Khushi was preparing her breakfast when Lavanya entered in the kitchen

"Kuch kehna hai" She asked without turning around and Lavanya surprised

"How did you know?" In answer she smilingly shrugged her shoulders

"Well …. Yes …. Umm I want you to meet someone" Lavanya said nervously

"I know" Her calmness once again surprised her

"How?"

"Don't worry Anuj, I'll tell Khushi about us tomorrow or I guess it was like, "Anuj baby Khushi will not say no" She ran quickly before Lavanya could chase her

"Khushi I won't spare you, you read my texts …. Wait" Lavanya wildly ran after her

"Ok …. I am sorry but you know just out of curiosity ….. tum secretly phone pe kis se baat kerti ho bus issi liye ….." Khushi said breathing heavily while Lavanya quickly went to her side and gave her water

"Khushi tumhain apna khayal rakhna chahiye, you shouldn't be running you know your heart is still weak after …."

"I know" Finally she was able to normalize her breath

"Toh tummhain aiteraaz toh nahi hai na agar Anuj hamare saath rahe" Lavanya was still not sure after what happened with her and she knew very well her fear from men that is why she hided about her and Anuj from Khushi

"Jub tak tum hamare saath ho humain koi darr nahi" Lavanya smiled and hugged her

Arnav was typing furiously when suddenly his hands stilled as his eyes fell on the ring in his hand. He still remembered how uncomfortable and nervous she was when she slid ring to his finger not even touching his hand

He closed his eyes in frustration again her tearful face and the hurt from his words

"Damn It" He opened his eyes again, why this is happening now, he somehow understand her importance in these three years when she was not around him. When she was with him he taken her concern and care always for granted and now he was missing her but he cannot admit it to anyone as he always hated her.

"I wish main ……." The knock at door interrupted his thoughts. He forced himself again towards the work

"This is Anuj and Anuj this is Khushi" Khushi tried to smile with a formal, "Hi" as Lavanya introduced her to Anuj

"Khushi tumhain daikh ke mujhe aisa lagta hai jaise ….." Anuj paused and as Khushi felt him looking at her head to toe she became conscious and in fear she grabbed Lavanya's hand who in a second understand what she was going through

"Anuj" Lavanya gestured Anuj to stop his teasing session, As he laughed out and Lavanya joined in Khushi glared both of them weirdly

"Kya hua?" She asked

"I am sorry Khushi actually Lavanya told me that you have an extreme fear from men so I was just playing a prank" Anuj said and Khushi glared Lavanya in an unbelievable expression

"Lavanya … tum ne …. How could you?" Khushi was still astonished

"Just like tum ne mere texts parhe" Lavanya shrugged her shoulders and a smile automatically touched her lips

Arnav was trying hard to concentrate on the work when he heard Aakash calling him

"Mujhe aap se kuch baat kerni hai Bhai" He was standing in the door

"Yeah sure …." Aakash came inside and taking a seat on couch he spoke

"I am sorry but main Sinha Groups ke saath ….. I can't do this meeting" Arnav did not understand

"What?"

"Di ka appointment hai uss din" Arnav sighed, now his family did not even bother to share anything with him. Well to some extent he consider them right in disliking him and now he can understand exactly how Khushi must've felt every time he spoke to her harshly

"Ok I'll go" As he said Aakash without any word not even a thank you left his room. Once again he was comparing his family's behavior to him and his with Khushi in past

The car stopped and she frustrated looked up from her notebook.

"What happened?" She asked the driver

"M'am koi larki giri hui hai aur behosh bhi"

She unwillingly got out of the car and went to her. She was unconscious and if she was thinking right she has strike heart attack. The girl was so young and as she noticed she was wearing her wedding dress, her mehndi was still fresh in her hands

"DRIVER" She yelled, with the help of driver she managed to shift her to the back seat

"JUST GO AWAY KHUSHI"

"Arnav Ji" She screamed as she opened her eyes. She sat and hugged herself still trembling in fear. It was since three years now she woke up with these words resonating in her head

"Khushi" Lavanya quickly wake up and started rubbing her back soothingly, she was panting heavily. Lavanya gave her water.

"Khushi, calm down, relax" She gulped water but her anxiety did not end, she was still trembling with fear

Suddenly there was knock on the door, "Lavanya, Khushi Is everything alright" This was Anuj, Lavanya was about to open the door but Khushi's tight clutch wasn't letting her to move,

"Don't open the door please, Jee …. Jeeju aa jaien ge au … aur phir woh ….. hamari baat ….. nahi ……" it seemed she has forgotten that she met Anuj this evening and he is residing with them

"You go to sleep Anuj, we are fine" Lavanya yelled still soothing Khushi who was now sobbing. It happened to her and then it was difficult for her to again go to sleep

"Sshh Khushi, No one is here, relax….close your eyes….." she made Khushi lay down running her hand through her hairs. It's been three years apparently she had moved on but her subconscious was still at the same point where she faced betrayal and double faces of the world. She behaved normally with men during day at her work and in college but whenever she goes to sleep, the nightmare haunts her. Lavanya was seriously thinking on taking her to psychiatrist, she has also consulted the matter with Anuj who was also a doctor so he can guide her best for this. She again looked at Khushi who has gone fast asleep now. She sighed and closed her eyes.

Next morning all three of them eating their breakfast silently when Anuj broke the silence,

"Lavanya what happened last night, you guys ….." Before he could complete Lavanya gestured him with eyes to stop as Khushi put the bread in her plate

"La …Lavanya hum aaj kuch late ho jaien ge … Closing days hain na toh sub file work complete kerna hai" Khushi completely ignored what Anuj was saying and he understandingly nodded

"Khushi aap ke jaane ka koi faida nahi hoga" Lavanya and Khushi skeptically glared him

"I mean aaj meri bhi night duty hai toh main Lavanya ke saath time spend nahi ker paoon ga" Both smiled at him

"Acha hum chalte hain" Khushi left from there while Anuj received angry glares from Lavanya

"Anuj main ne tumhain kaha tha ke uss ke saamne aisi koi baat nahi kerna"

"I was just concerned so …."

"Please Anuj she is young aur phir uss ka heart attack …. woh inn choti choti baaton pe upset ho jaati hai"

"I know, tum ne usse tablets di"

"Haan main ne uss ke bag mein rakh di thi"

"Aakash" Arnav called him standing outside the room, Aakash was feeding Anjali with the soup, he gestured him to wait and he nodded. He looked at Anjali, she has become very feeble and this was all because of him. When Anjali found out that he threw Khushi out of the house, she was mad at him, she cursed him, shouted at him but he had taken all yelling silently that too for her because his sister trusted the man who was the reason for all this and when she asked him about the reason he only stated he hated Khushi and he has taken revenge from Khushi for snatching his 12 precious years of his life. Anjali sworn that she will not see his face and neither she ever meet Khushi till he apologize from Khushi. He knew that Aakash and Payal knows about Khushi's whereabouts but he never dared to ask them. His ego was conflicting with his love for his sister.

"Bhai" Aakash's voice snapped him out of his thoughts

"Haan woh … I was saying ke agar Shy …. Jeeja Ji yeh meeting attend ker lain toh …." Though he never asked Shyam for any kind of help but now a days he has a lot of work pressure so a new project means double burden that is why he thought about the option

"Main ne poocha tha Jeeju se but he was going London for a conference so he cannot"

"Ok no problem" He left while Aakash sighed thinking how he can be so heartless, he did not ask about Anjali's health and also he never asked about where is Khushi, He knew that Arnav knows that he was in contact with Khushi but Arnav never asked about her. It was two years back when Khushi called Payal after their marriage and he breath in relief knowing that Khushi was safe. No matter how much Arnav ran from the reality but the fact was that Khushi was his wife

It was 10:00 pm when she came out of the office. She looked around to search for an auto but not finding any she decided to walk a little to the bus stop. She was walking alongside the road when her steps become heavier as she recalled the night when she walked alone on the roads. Why this night is being similar to that one. Suddenly her heart filled with an unknown fear. The road to the bus stop was an empty one with a very little crowd, she tightly clutched on her bag and inhaled deeply

Suddenly her eyes widened with fear as someone tugged on her duppata. She closed her eyes in fear of turning when she felt the duppata slipping from her neck. She abruptly turned around only to find two boys standing there, one of whom has held her duppata and as she turned he pulled duppata and it came to his hand. Her hands went to her neck as tears flowed down her cheeks. They were laughing, she looked around but the road was empty, she opened her mouth to scream but one of them quickly covered her mouth with his hand while other throwing her duppata came to her and hold her hand. She helplessly looked around and tried to push the hands from her mouth. The other boy takes her hand to his lips giving a lustful smile to her while the one holding her mouth roamed her hands on her stomach. She closed her eyes as she gave in the up comings. Her breathing becomes uneven and as the boy's lips touched her hands she felt the same scorching through her body as she felt three years back. She hoped for some miracle to happen before she get down on the road. Before fainting the last she heard was a horn and a car halting with brakes.
