Phew!! I just made it as today was a deadline for me of sorts.
Should I or should I not Keep the Faith ? In this show, in its characters , its creators . And Arnav & Khushi gave me my answer. It is all about Love and Love only . It conquers all. Once you love someone it changes you forever - Love can reduce anyone to anything.
Very much like Khushi's faith in arnav , I too was definite that hewill turn up . He is an emotionalcoward and runs for cover whenfaced with emotional turmoil but has always been a decision maker. Good or bad, rash or reasonable he does not hesitate to take a stance. His visit to his secret garden and the sight of a tampered rose bought back a memory of his childhood. He makes a decision - Khushi had faith in him and this time he was not going to let her down."I am standing here because of you because of our love'I am sorry I am late but I had to comeright ? Will you marry me ? "
" Mujhey kaate dard dete rahe aur mein phoolo ko sazaa deta raha . Yeh baat mujhey aaj samajaaye " Arnie finally gets it that that he has been holding on to something of the past that has always hurt him and he has punished himself, the world andKhushi for no reason. He was ready to move on and start a new phase of his life with his partner. At first I was not convinced as to why and how can Arnie let go this feeling of hurt and hatred towards the"other" women and let bygones be bygones but as I spent more time thinking about it , it made perfect sense and that too in his own words "You cannot change the past" but you can do something about the future. Forgiveness is a big healer and the past should be left where it is meant to be ' In the past.
I felt sorry for dadi today as she was the exact person Arnav doesnot want to become. Bitter and lonely . She continues to burn inher own hell and spitting venomat her own children. Refusing to heed to Khushi's request for her blessings she again blames her for distancing her from her grandson and the family. Was so proud of Arnav when he stood up to dadi "all that matters is that I love Khushi " and also refused to blame Garima for the death of his parents "Your son was the married one and deceived 2 women". "Dadi if you still want to live in the past then maybe you should not be here ' " BRAVO Arnav. I do call that nayi soch . Dadi I am sad for you butyou too had a chance to move on but gave up the opportunity.
Ah and THEN !!! The Wedding' I so wanted it to happen ( actually I was fine with the first one as well ) for the right reasons and that is "kaha na mein tunhare bina nahin jee sakta '" and that too without conditions and ill feelings. Arnav giving Khushi her wish for the pheras and all the wedding ceremonies. He looks on lovingly while she sits next to him like a shy bride. My wish for Arnav to be a bigger man came true when he bent to take blessings from Garima clearly saying that we should all move on . I loved him the most at that moment..
It was a lovely episode as my wish was granted . For today I am very Happy to see my favoriteJodi join together in holy matrimony. This is what we have waited for . And I will not complain about a single defect ( which were many by the way ) that will have to wait for another day and neither will I speculate about the future. It is very evident that the story line has changed again but as I said this discussion is for another day.
For now let me enjoy my beautiful ArHI .
