Meri Ashiana

Today is off day for Nidhi. Ashu has to go to KGH for an imp. meeting. He will be back by lunch. Nidhi thought of cleaning the study and rearrange the books. While re-arranging 3/4 books dropped down the floor, while picking them up she discovered a folded paper on the floor. She opened it. It was Rohan's goodbye letter. Nidhi read it again. She sat on the floor and so many memories of Rohan came to her mind. He was a true friend. He was the person whose initiative brought Her & Ashu close. He was always there whenever she needed him. She , Anji & Rohan enjoyed so much. Nidhi said to herself, "where are you Rohan? How
are you? Hope everything is fine at your end. Wish you all happiness in your life." She thought that, so many things happened after marriage , I forgot abt the letter. But now I should share it with Ashu. She was so occupied by the memories of those days before marriage, how Ashni confessed their love, how Rohan used to help her to meet Ashu , that she did not noticed that Ashu is back and is standing in front of her.Ashu was surprised to see Nidhi sitting on the floor with some books here and there on the floor and a folded paper in her hand and engrossed in deep thought. Ashu thought, Is Nidhi upset or something annoying her? Hope everything is fine. Ashu was just about to call Nidhi, she noticed Ashu,
Nidhi: Arre aap kab aaye? Main ne dekhi hi nehi aapko.
Ashu: Ji memsab , kiske khayalo me khoyi thi aap , ki bechara patiji ko bhul geyi. Ashu gives a naughty look.
Immediately, Nidhi back to her bubbly self.
Nidhi: Hae koi Hot & Handsome banda, jo mujhpe fida hae.
Nidhi was about to leave, Ashu hold her hand and hugged her from back, With mocked anger,
Ashu: Kiska itna himmat ki mere jaan pe nazar dale, Bas uska naam bata do. baki mae dekh lunga.
Nidhi: Bas bas bohut ho geya meri superman, jaiye change kar lijie main khana lagati hoon.

After lunch Ashni at their bedroom.

Ashu: Nidhi, aaj shamko kahi ghumne chalte hae, bohut din baad chhutti mili hae.
Nidhi was thinking of Rohan's letter, She exclaimed , Ji?
Ashu: What happened Nidhi? Is anything bothering you?
Nidhi: Actually I want to share something with you, Shadi ke baad itna kuch hua ki yeh baat meri dimag se nikal hi geyi thi.
Ashu: Ok, Batao. Aisa kya hae jo meri Biwi ko itna pareshan karke rakhha hae!
Nidhi: It is about Rohan.
Ashu: Anything serious? usse kuch hua toh nehi? Tell me Nidhi,I am worried.
Nidhi: Cool down.Nothing to worry.
Ashu: Thank God! waise janab hae kahan? Shadi ke baad kaha gayeb ho gea? Kabhi na milne aaya, na phone kia.Tum bhi toh kabhi usse contact nehi kia. He has done so much for us. Ham aaj uske wajah se hi sath sath hae.He is a wonderful person and great friend.
Nidhi silently handed over the letter to Ashu.
Ashu: What is this?
Nidhi: Read na.
Ashu: Ok!
Ashu looked at the paper.
Ashu: But Nidhi yeh toh Rohan ne tumhe likha hae, how can I read this?
Nidhi: I want to share this with you.
Ashu started reading the letter and Nidhi was wondering what will be Ashu's reaction after reading the letter.Ashu is shocked after reading the letter. Sometimes Rohan ke akhon me usne Nidhi ke lie phikar dekha tha. Woh sirf phikar nehi the pyar tha. Rohan ne dosti ke aisa mishal kayem kia Ashu feel so small infront of him. Usne apne emotion ko sabse chhupa ke Ashu ke amanat ki raksha ki aur Nidhi ko Ashu ke hath me sopke hamesha ke lie chala geya. Rohan usse achcha lagta tha lekin aab he started respecting him. Ashu looked at Nidhi. She is waiting to know Ashu's reaction.Ashu pull her close to him and put his hands around her shoulder.
Ashu: Nidhi, Rohan loved you and he sacrificed his love. He has done so much for us. But ham uske dard ke wajah bhi bane. He left to let us live our own life.You should be proud of such friend. Meri respect uske lie aur bhi jyada ho geya.Jisse main bachcha samajhte tha woh kitna samajhdar nikla.
Nidhi: aap ko bura toh nehi laga, mae yeh baat batane me itni der kia? Believe me, main aapko batana chahti thi lekin shadi ke baad jo hua mujhe yaad nehi rahi. Aaj study clean karte karte yeh letter hath me aayi toh I want to share this with you.
Ashu: Its ok Nidhi,I understand. woh toh chala geya,lekin tum kabhi usse baat karne ki koshish kiu nehi ki? He always helped us.Hame unka khabar lena chahiye.
Nidhi: Pehle mujhe bhi buri lagi thi. Phir socha, I should respect his decision.Let him move on in his life. What I can't give him may be that is waiting for him somewhere else. Mujhe toh mere pyar mil geya lekin Ab main uss din ki intezar me hoon jab Rohan ka phone aaye yeh batane ke lie ki usse bhi apna pyar mil geya. Aur zindegi me kuch chapter sahi waqt me bandh nehi kia toh woh dard ke shibah kuch nehi deta.
Ashu soch raha tha meri chhoti si Nidhi kab itni bari aur samajhdar ho geyi? He hugged Nidhi tightly. Nidhi felt so relieved. Ashu ke sine me saar rakhke boli, This is my place, meri Ashiana. Ashu hold her tightly and kissed on her forehead.

I always think about this Rohan chapter...in fact, during entire Mallu track, and this AshNi separation track I badly missed Rohan... His letter was last shown as lying on Nidhi's side-table in their BR... Ashu ne use dekha ki nahi and dekha ya nahi dekha but woh letter wahan se gaya kahan... everything is another loose end... I wish rather than AshNi baby track, CVs should bring back Rohan starting with this letter scene between AshNi as u narrated... That would be more interesting to watch... Thank u so much for making it happen in your post at least... Padh ke bada achcha laga...
