Chapter 13-

Later in the evening, Maanvi had declared that everyone would be playing Truth or Dare. They sat in a circle as Maanvi spun the bottle. It landed on Viren. Everyone moves away

"What? Me?" He said shocked.

"Aur kyun Jiju? There's no one sitting behind you," Maanvi says. "Aur next to you."

"B-b-but..." Viren stammers trying to search for an answer. He looks at Virat for some help.

"Maanvi, Maanvi, Maanvi," Virat says.

"Kya, kya, kya?" Maanvi mimics his voice.

"I want to go first," Virat says, Viren gives me a thankful look.

"Nope, it's jiju's turn. He will go first because the bottle landed on him," Maanvi states. Jeevika nudges her because she kept repeating the word 'jiju' in front of everyone.

"Maanvi, stop it. Just let him have a go," Jeevika whispers to her.

"No di, we all saw that the bottle landed on Jiju and you know it," Maanvi quietly replies back to her.

"But I wanted to go first. Aur waise be, I'm sitting next to Bro, the bottle could have landed on me," He says, and then quickly moves the botttle so it was pointed at him.

"No, it was on Jiju!" Maanvi protests, and moves the bottle back on Viren.

"Nooo! It was on me, you just moved it," Virat winks.

"Nope, you just moved it, I saw. It landed on Viren first!" Maanvi says.

"But-" Viren starts but gets interrupted.

"Just spin the bottle again then yaar," Khushi says. "And stop fighting you too."

Maanvi and Virat both become silent and Khushi spins the bottle again. This time it lands on Maanvi.

"Maanvi," Arnav says. "Truth or Dare?"

"Truth," She says.

"Haaaw, Maanvi's too chicken to take a dare," Virat says, and then makes chicken noises and flaps his arms.

"Oyee! I'm not a chicken. Fine, I take the dare then. C'mon "Mr. I'mSoBrave", give me a dare then," Maanvi says.

Everyone around them moans, as they realise that Virat and Maanvi were having a fight again.

"Deal, now we'll see if your braver than me," Virat challenges her.

"Go on, tell me the dare then," Maanvi says. Everyone gathers around in a circle and they discuss the dare that Maanvi has to do. Maanvi turns around, having her back on them, with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Maanvi," Her sister finally said and the whispers in the background disappeared. Maanvi turned around and saw everyone smiling, and some smirking. "You still want to do the dare?" She looks at her sister, knowing that she felt bad about the dare. But she knew she had to do it, whatever it was, she had to prove to Virat that she was capable of completing dares.

"I still want to do it di," Maanvi tells her. "What's the dare then?"

"Your dare is..." Khushi announces. "To close your eyes and hug the first thing your find."

"That's easy!" Maanvi says, laughing. "Couldn't you think of anything harder?"

"Here's the twist; you'll be blindfolded and spun around 50 times... AND after you've hugged the person, you'll have to get a drink," Khushi replies back.

"A drink?" Maanvi asks.

"Oh stop asking so many questions," Virat says. Jeevika sighs, and then she blindfolds Maanvi. She gets spun round 50 times and then everyone moves away quietly. She stands there waiting for everything to go still once again, and then she listens for a noise. Hearing giggles, and people moving; she walks around the place in continuous circles. Then finally, the place becomes full with screams as she pounces at people when she thinks she's near. But to her bad luck, they quickly run away.

Then suddenly she could hear laughing noises, but they weren't on purpose. Maanvi could tell that someone was tickling another person on purpose so that that person would get caught. She slowly paces towards the sound, careful not to make a sound. With her arms out in front of her, she feels her way to where the sound of the angelic laughter came from.

"Stop it, stop it!" It said, trying to control the laughter. She kept pacing slowly, slowly until she decided she had reached where the person was.

"Viren! Stop tickling me!" It yelled, with a chorus of deep laughter. Definitely a guy, Maanvi thinks to herself. Or is it? She keeps pacing, not caring about what gender the person was. The laughter soon faded away and it became quiet once again. She kept moving on and on, until she could feel the person's breathe on her slowly inhaling and exhaling. And slowly, she opens her arms and hugs the person, and then a smile lights up her face. She throws away her blindfold and looks at the person's face.

"OMG! You?" She says shocked.

"Aur kaun hoga?" He says winking. Everyone laughs as Maanvi pulls on an annoyed face.

"See, I've completed the dare. Time to spin the bottle!" She says.

"Tut tut tut, Maanvi I think we're forgetting something," Khushi says.

"Aur kya?" Maanvi says in annoyance.

"There's still the drink..." She says.

"Fine, I'll go and get a drink then," Maanvi says, rolling her eyes.

"But not any old drink..." Virat says.

"Haan, you have to go to that place over there," Khushi says, pointing at the direction where the bar was.

"You guys can't be serious about this..." Maanvi says.

"Are you too chicken?" Virat says, and starts doing a chicken impression.

"Nope, fine I'm going. Watch me," Maanvi says. With that Maanvi stalked off to the bar with Virat following her every movement to make sure she completes the dare. She walks towards a waiter who had his back to her.

"Excuse me, can I have a drink?" She politely asked. Virat grins as he realised that she was actually going to do it. He'd thought that she wouldn't complete the dare, but he was proved wrong. The waiter kept his back on her, which started to get on Maanvi's nerves.

"Here, let me get your drink," Virat says, and picks one up and hands it to Maanvi. Maanvi takes the glass holding a clear liquid, and brings it up to inspect. Just then, the waiter turned around, and Maanvi dropped her glass.

"V- v- Viraa..." Maanvi gasps and quickly walks away with her heart beating against her chest so hard. Virat stood there really confused to what had just happened. The waiter had disappeared in seconds after the incident. Virat decided to follow, thinking that the name Maanvi was going to say was his.

"Kya hua? Why did you say my name like that?" Virat asks, stopping Maanvi from running away. He places his hand on her shoulder, and forced her to turn and look at him. Her face was covered in hot tears which were gently flowing down her flawless skin. "Why are you crying?"

Maanvi quickly wiped her tears and composed herself before replying. "Kya? I'm not crying."

"You were crying, I just saw your tears. What happened?" He asks softly. She takes a deep breath, knowing that she couldn't get out of this situation. This was something she hated looking back at, but she knew she'd have to tell him. He had realised there was something up with her weird behaviour.

"I- I wasn't trying to say your name," She started off. Virat was really confused after hearing that, he was so sure that she was trying to say his name. "I was trying to say... V-v- Virraa- Viraaj"

"Who's Viraaj?" He asked.

"Viraaj was my ex..." She slowly said, and with that followed the whole story. The way her best friend had betrayed her and how she lost her love. Hearing the whole story Virat became angry.

"How dare he! I'm going to kill him when I find him," Virat says clenching his fists into balls.

"Virat please no... just please don't do anything, please," Maanvi begged him, tears flowing more rapidly down her cheeks. Seeing Maanvi in this state, he's anger calmed down and slowly he unclenched his balled fists.

"Okay, I won't do anything," He softly tells her, wiping her tears away with his thumb.

"Thank you," She barely replied back to him, and then she walked away.

(Next day: The Wedding)

It was the wedding day and there was a happy buzz around the house; all filled with joy and laughter. The whole house had been traditionally decorated. It was morning and everyone was getting dressed for Khushi's big day.

Jeevika was having trouble putting on a necklace in her room.

(She was wearing this)

Viren was walking down the corridor when he stopped at Jeevika's door. He saw that Jeevika was struggling with her necklace. This could be my chance, Viren thought to himself.

"Jeevika, do you want some help?" He asked, entering the room.

"Yeah, if that's okay with you..." She said. Viren smiled and took the necklace from her hands. He then placed the necklace carefully on her neck.

"Jeevika..." Viren says composing himself.

"Yes," She replied back.

"I want to tell you something," Viren carries on.

"What is it?" She asked.

"JEEVIKA, COME DOWNSTAIRS. KHUSHI WANTS YOU!"

"Sorry Viren ji, Maanvi's calling me," Jeevika says, and then she rushes down. Virren hits his forehead. Every time I go to confess something or someone has to STOP me!

"Khushi dii, remember your bracelet which Arnav jiju gifted you," Maanvi said, teasing the bride. Her tender cheeks flushed a pale pink colour. Soon, Jeevika rushed into the room.

"What's happened?" She asked worried.

"Oh ho, kuch nahi hua. Why arre you so worried all the time dii. Chill," Maanvi says. "We couldn't find you anywhere!"

"Actually, Maanvi couldn't be bothered to find you," Khushi said.

"OMG! Khushi dii!" Maanvi exclaims with annoyance. Suddenly someone's phone started ringing. The girls looked everywhere for the phone and they finally found it.

"Jiju," Maanvi said, winking. She then picked up the call.

"Hello? Arnav Jiju?" She said into the phone. Jeevika laughed and Khushi blushed a deeper crimson colour.

"Don't you know your not meant to call the bride," She carried on.

"Oh hoo, c'mon jiju stop being so greedy. You get Khushi di for the rest of yourself starting from tonight. Let us have her for the remaining hours," Maanvi tried to compromise. Khushi tried to snatch the phone but failed.

"Jiju, you'll get her all to yourself tonight," Maanvi said. Jeevika burst out laughing. Khushi got annoyed and finally snatched the phone.

"Hello? Arnav ji?" She said.

"Tut tut tut, I don't think so," Maanvi said before taking the phone away.

"Bye Jiju," She said before disconnecting the line.

"Khushi di, you can talk to him later. Now let's finish with the makeup."
