Sharad Kelkar, aka Dr Ashutosh of Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (Sony Entertainment Television), avers, "Dev Saab was a trendsetter and a style icon of Bollywood who gave spur to Bollywood fashion. The current generations copy his style like wearing bell bottom pants, wearing sweaters on shoulders etc. Though Dev Saab was 88 when he passed away, he was very much young at heart. He was a free spirit who lived like one and died like one. He will always be with us in our hearts. Among the many epic films that he did, my favourites are Johny Mera Naam and Guide."
