As heinous as they are... Anuj Mama-Sheela Mami are the only functional couple in Dewan family. They plot together. They praise each other when a plot works and they definitely function together like a well-oiled machine. According to Nanaji they are the victim of his spur-of- the-moment emotional decision to make Avantika director of the company which even Nanaji believes Anuj deserved (as the son) more. Avantika treats Anuj as a subordinate and berates him in front of other people in the office. I can see where the bitterness in Anuj & Sheela's mind is stemming from.
But I don't understand their plan of action. Why do they go against Pankhuri? They know Pankhuri is an Ace-card that can drive an wedge between Nanaji & Avantika. If Aditya marries Pankhuri in nanaji's insistence then the father-daughter relationship will disintegrate because Avantika will never forgive Nanaji and they can take advantage of that situation.
Then why do they encourage the wedding between Latika & Aditya? Avantika likes Latika...nanaji doesn't ... but he is not willing to throw a tantrum over it either. If the Aditya-Latika marriage takes place then their (mama-mami's) condition doesn't change...it's status-qua for everybody.How do they benefit if they separate Aditya-Pankhuri? They have no reason to keep Shivam in tow either.
Can somebody explain their motives please.
