Panchi nagged Ranveer when they were alone. Others had left without a word seeing the busted face of Ranveer. "Kya hua nonu?"

He turned his face around to not look at her. This worried her further and she repeated her question. "Nonu, batao. What happened inside?"

"Hona kya tha? Deepika aunty blasted on poor Kiya for no reason! Usko beech mei aane ki zarurat kya thi? I could have handled it all by myself." Ranveer voiced out his opinion. KD was listening from the other side of pillar while hiding behind it. Hearing that, he left not wanting to hear anything more than what he already had.

"Nonu, understand. Banga would have never believed any one of us."

"I wouldn't have cared! Jo kiya hai, uske liye saza bhi bhugat lete hum. But why did she come in between? You know na, I'm against wrong. She might have done it to lessen our punishment; But what's wrong is wrong. I wouldn't have let her take the blame. Par andar bhi, she stopped me!"

Panchi looked worried. She could understand why Kiya would have done it. but how was she to explain to Ranveer?

Kiya pleaded her mother to make her understand her point of view. "Mom, listen to me. it's not what you're thinking. I didn't do anyth-"

Deepika cut her off throwing her purse down on the bed. "Oh, is it not Kiya? You helped set the school on fire and you're saying you haven't done anything? What more could you do Kiya?? And today was the day you decided to pull this stunt of yours? You know how important the day was for Aanya! And you? You completely ruined it! It's unacceptable Kiya."

"Mom.." Kiya let out hurt. Again, she was being blamed and taken wrong.

Deepika again resumed her firing. "That's it. You're getting more out of hand each time! I've made my decision. You will now do what I say, when I say and how I say it. No excuses, no plans, no tricks. I'm done with you!" Spitting that out with utter harshness, she left the room to leave Kiya crying to herself.

Now what was she supposed to say? Her own mother never understood her' She felt like she was the most undeserving person to be alive!

Deepika was in her room walking back and forth worried. She had to do something about this. Just then, her eyes fell on the purse she had been using the morning. She suddenly remembered KD and his helping nature. Without exactly knowing why, she knew KD was the only person who could help her when it came to Kiya. From what she had picked on, both of them knew each other and she thought it was the best way possible to always have an eye on Kiya' via KD!

"Panchi' slow down and chill' here, take this sandwich.. eat'" Ranveer offered to Panchi. Both of them were in the cafeteria.

"What nonu? Abhi tang mat karo. Poor Kiya' Aunty was so mad' Take me to her right now please?" she turned saying the last sentence with hope in her eyes.

"Sorry moti' I can't' You know, I'm in detention' Not allowed to leave Academy to go anywhere during school hours. Even after school, I have to help with this new drama that they are organizing for some lame competition."

"Hey! It's not lame! It's by us in section of performing arts!" Panchi said offended, forgetting about Kiya for a second. Then remembering, she quickly added before Ranveer had a chance to reply back. "Forget that, take me to Kiya! You've never cared about any restrictions. Why now? Please nonu'"

A new voice interrupted both of them. "Nonu ki moti, stop bothering him na.." KD said crossing her arms across his chest, standing there with full on attitude. Ranveer pushed the chair back instantly and got on his feet hearing that. He hated KD and on top, he was one of the only one in school who had once heard Panchi call him nonu and he would get so agitated each time KD would say that just to annoy him!

"Listen KD! Don't start with me right now." Ranveer began to continue warning him further but Panchi interrupted now.

"Stop it both of you ya? There's enough things to worry about already! Don't know what happened to Kiya' Ranveer is in detention and the plan was flopped. The music station and band and still banned. Tum dono jhagad ke aur problems create mat karo!"

Both the boys shut their mouths knowing that Panchi was right. They had to keep their ego under check' At least till things calmed down!

KD directed towards Panchi, "I'm in no mood to fight either. Listen, Ranveer can't get out and you want to meet Kiya. I'll take you."

Ranveer stepped in front of Panchi, lightly pulling her behind him and still holding on to her hand. She didn't even realize that and stood there like it was perfectly normal. "And why would you do that? Money isn't involved here. Why are you so interested in this?"

KD didn't let the money thing get to him. "Look, Mujhe kisi ka ehsaan lene ki adaat nai hai. She saved me by taking it all on her' Don't know why' par jis kisi bhi reason ke liye kiya ho, I just want to thank her once."

"Voh toh tujhe karna bhi chahiye." Ranveer said going a bit easy on him; realizing that he only meant well. Panchi nodded to continue.

"Well, let's go. Enough time wasted already. Non (she stopped realizing she was again about to say nonu in front of someone and changed her sentence) -Ranveer, I'll see you in the evening. Bye." Saying so, Panchi took the lead and KD followed giving one last look at Ranveer who watched them go.
