| Karam Apna Apna (KAA) is all about Gauri. "It is a story of survival through the eyes of Gauri. It's all about what influence everyone in the family has on her," says Geetanjali Tikekar, playing Maya in the serial. | ||
| KAA is a story of a middle class, likable and non-ambitious character-Gauri- who hails from Kolkata and puts her family's interest before anything else in life. Seems to be the same old formula, to relate the character with the primetime female viewers. But still characters claim a different streak in the same old storyline. "I will not say this is different, but the way serial has been picturised is quite new," says Pallavi. She adds further, "it's a simple story, simply told." | ||
| But what does she have to say about her comparison with the characters of Tulsi and Parvati? While claiming that she is certainly different from all of them, she asserts the comparisons are baseless. "They are icons in themselves and I am still searching for a foothold in the industry. People have reached this conclusion because I am Ektaji's latest leading lady," says Pallavi. | ||
| However, Balaji Telefilms has always been accused of playing favourites. "They've spoilt me too much, and that is why Balaji is always a priority," says Geetanjali, proudly. | ||
