I always had the impression that Shiv's living quarters (as in the whole of Circuit House) would be sparse, simple and small. I figured that as a collector, he would be provided with accommodation, but that that accommodation wouldn't be big or fancy (these are all assumptions I made, so please correct me if I'm wrong). I was confused, then, to see the huuuge garden in yesterday's episode. When Dadda Ji took Anandi out to show her the poda that time and Shiv cut himself, the angle the scene was shot at made it look to me like the garden they were in was in a public place. But in yesterday's episode, the garden rivalled that of some mehel... it was massive and quite obviously private. And the living quarters also seem like they are solely for Shiv (and big enough to fit both him and his family of 4 quite comfortably! Speaking of which, why are they still around... while I like them, don't they need to be getting back to Udaipur? But I digress...). I was somehow under the impression that there would be a compound for Shiv and all other government officials who work in Jaitsar but don't have homes there, and that Shiv would have the best quarters in the compound due to his post, but certainly nowhere near this level. It just doesn't seem to fit that the same man who's insistent on a simple wedding due to his and his fiance's positions in the village has such spuriously expansive living space...
So basically, I want to ask... is this opinion just me being a nitpicker? Do other people think that having more living space than one needs, even if it's simply done-up space, is unnecessary? Do real collectors actually live like this? Were my assumptions totally wrong? Koi please in sab sawaalon ki jawab dijiye :)
