PERMA Issues Notices To Company For Showing Indian Serials

Pakistan's media regulator has said that it has issued several show cause notices to a company distributing a private TV channel that broadcasts Indian serials.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority made the declaration while responding to a petition filed in the Lahore High Court.

PEMRA told the court last week that the private TV channel was not entitled to broadcast any Indian serials.

i always wondered what is the need of broadcasting all those Indian soaps when we are having Indian Channels here.. new channel Urdu1 ka toh samajh aata hai phir bhi but why Hum always broadcast Indian content

Karachi k kuch areas me nhi arahe indian channels including my house.. Now how can I see Bigg Boss?? 😭

Point. In some areas cable does not provide Indian channels while following PEMRAs order so what are we supposed to do then? I'm not supporting it or against it, but guess a few popular Indian channels should be allowed to run here. We can't say we don't watch Indian channels we all do then its better to allow them in a proper legal way then getting them in illegal ways. And not everyone gets access to internet everyday so watching them online is also hard. Stop showing Indian shows on our channel; yes because they are Pakistani channels so promote our own stuff there and let two three Indian channels run along side.

Sorry if it offends anyone but just sharing my opinion.
