I hate these Consummation Scenes. I'm sure this will either be ignored, or people will disagree with me.

But I was a fool for expecting something different from this couple. No, I am not asking for kisses or some kind of "Hot" scenes, but it's outright uncomfortable, embarrassing and 🤢 to see the women just lie there like lambs. 🤢

Yes, yes, we see her reacting to his touches and advances but so what?

Come on, it's embarrassing as hell. Aarti is not even looking at Yash, her head is turned away. Come ON. She's was a married woman with a kid before. If it were about her trust issues, well that really doesn't make sense. And even if it were, the way to show it is not by portraying her as some "newlywed shy bride."

If their goal was to show that Aarti can't be blamed for 'seducing' Yash, and he was proactive on his own--well I doubt that, and that's just utter BS.

There both supposed to be 'intoxicated.' And fine Aarti is not proactive, but at least look at the dude while lying there instead of looking away. It's embarrassing to watch.

When will these Hindi Serials stop with this crap? A grown woman, in her second marriage, acting like some "shy bride."

I was impressed though that PV took the route of using consummation as a way to move the story forward, which Hindi serials rarely do. (Though, of course, she just has to becomes pregnant from their first night. 😆)

LOL i thought I was the only one not comfortable with the woman always being so passive in the consummation scenes. what century do we live in? also this is Aarti's second marriage... and they're supposed to be intoxicated.
Like you said, at least she can look at him or maybe touch his face or something. more than the physical intimacy, the fact that everything is in slow motion is what makes these scenes awkward and uncomfortable to watch. bcz AarYa didn't have any romantic scenes before this one and Yash is yet to fall in love with Aarti, I didn't want the SR scene to be too... intimate. But I was still hoping it would be different from all the other soaps out there.

I actually thought the consummation scene was just entirely lame...I mean seriously it could have been so much better! I hate passive love scenes and while I get that its Indian Telly they can still do a better job...god I think its hilarious that she's pregnant after the first time together, I mean seriously *smh* kinda ridiculous...

I dislike that they are shying away from showing female sexuality. I guess they think (and I'm sure the reactions of many viewers confirm this) that by showing Aarti as participating in their love-making, would make her seem "immoral" or "wanton".

totally agree with you.
I'd actually prefer if they didn't show the scene at all. they should've just ended with the door closing. lol.

I think they were hinting at Aarti's insecurities about herself, and Kratika did a wonderful job conveying that, like she always does...Aarti's body language has suggested that time and time again, since the beginning of the show. But they also did show Aarti gradually becoming more at ease because of Yash's patience and his nonverbal cues that he wanted her to be comfortable, since she did move her hands away from her stomach by the end of that sequence.

I actually thought the scene was very illuminating and helped with character development, especially Yash's. If Aarti was the seducer, then we would have a very different take on the reason for Yash's anger than we do now. But I wonder if Aarti's seeming indifference is one of the reasons for Yash's anger - does he feel he took advantage of her?

Hahah, well I was pleasantly pleased that the Mittals went this route of consummation before confession and NOT making consummation some larger than end point that is dragged and dragged after the 'confession' which would've been dragged and dragged before the dragging of the consummation.

I've been saying for quite a while that I am sick of these OTT consummation scenes that make it seem as though it should only happen when OMG the love's been confessed and then when it's become some--Great LOVE!--

So I was glad when I heard that consummation was going to be used to develop the plot, use it as something to develop and progress the story.

Then I saw the precap, and I was just 🤢

I don't think the trust issues make sense the way it's shown. They are 'supposed' to be 'intoxicated.' Those issues wouldn't creep up straight away. Aarti has often been attracted to Yash and is in love with him. Here she's just passive from the start.

Also, yes I did get the impression at one point when she was on the bed that it was her insecurities. But that's NOT the way to show it imo. She shouldn't be so passive, and that too to the point that she's looking away from him. 🤢

It could've been handled much better. Now I'll get to the 'seducing' point in my next post, which kind of ties in with this.
