The Beast Palace : It must have been black magic.

Three Moments stand out in today's episode.

1. Maddy may call Rishabh a million things ' from a villain to an animal ' but her strange twisted faith in Rishabh actually makes you smile and wonder if this woman and that man really know what they feel about each-other? Inspite of BittuG telling her again and again that if she doesn't get ready and come down to the party, Rishabh will block the funds for Maalik rightaway , inspite of Rishabh standing outside the door of her room and telling her that he will do what he is threatening ' she stubbornly believed that Rishabh will never carry out the threat. Infact , she is anxiously telling this to herself ' "Wo aisa kucch nahiin karega. Wo aisa kucch kar hi nahiin sakta."Hmm. Interesting, Maddy. Aur Rishabh aisa kyun nahiin kar sakta? He is a heartless animal, right? Then, what voice inside you made you think that Rishabh will not carry out the threat?

2. The moment when Rishabh is least bit interested in the party and gulping down alcohol , looking at his wrist watch , waiting for it to strike 9pm ' waiting for Maddy to come down draped in the black shimmers that he bought for her. And when she appears at the top of the staircase , he knows it , without even looking back or hearing a murmur. It's a paused moment in time. She looks like how Rishabh imagines her ' a beautiful ethereal black magic woman. She looks at him as though there is nobody else in that hall. She descends like a princess ' drawn by his eyes on her. He ascends towards her , putting out his hand , like a Prince Harming ( charm waala koi kaam kiyaa nahin abhi iss dangarr ne ) . She looks vulnerable- he looks besotted - and she gives him her hand. And snap! The lights come on and people murmur to remind them that they are sworn enemies.

3. Okay, this is a little twisted from Rishabh's end but its child-like and a rather vulnerable aspect of his personality. He was all attentive, loving , pampering towards Maddy , putting his arm around her waist and respectfully introducing her to everyone ' until, he heard his mother thank Maddy for dressing up and coming to the party wearing the bangles that she had given her. That hit and hurt Rishabh bigtime. He clearly appeared offended , hurt and upset that Maddy had done all this for her saasumaa and not him. He couldn't take it that Maddy can give anyone preference or even a thought above him. It's sad, in a way. His face fell and immediately Maddy's humiliation started after that. Rishabh's inherent fear that someday Maddy will also abandon him like everyone else once again comes to surface. Rishabh just has to be no.1 in Maddy's life ' always. Its him for her above everything and everyone.

Now, coming to the episode today , you just cannot miss some prominent facts. Today, Rishabh treated Maddy like a princess indeed ( until he found out that Maddy had come to the party for Radhaji and not him 'apparently') ' He is tender and flirty with her when he teases her about her conjugal duties towards him- not even once getting aggressive and physical. He himself selects and buys Maddy's attire for the party ' from that simmering black sari to her shoes. He prowls around her like an amused tiger , when she throws a tantrum that she will not come to the party ' he lovingly puts the sari on her to see how she will look in it ' gives her a twisted compliment that her eyes and the sari have one thing in common ' they both can do black magic- gently freeing her ear from the sari thread like freeing a child. He proudly announces his marriage and calls Maddy beautiful in front of his guests even when Maddy is not around to hear him. His patient handling of Maddy when she locks herself up in the room ' gentle and smooth tackling of his kaamwaali bai-turned-princess biwi. No anger , no fury , no glares ' he seemed like a doting husband who has a hard day handing his nakhronwaali dharampatni.

Rishabh's rigid waiting for Maddy to come to the party , never looking away from his wrist watch. His admiration for his beautiful wife ' offering her his hand , keeping her temper in check playfully and then, taking her to meet his guests.

If you think about it , it's a new side of Rishabh , altogether ' where he was not being menacing, aggressive , violent or negative. He patiently bore all of Maddy's tantrums and defiance , with gentle playful arm-twisting . He gave her a princess treatment, until , he felt envious of his own mother and felt that she was taking Maddy away from him. So, the princess was back to her kaamwaali bai job. Humph!

And what about Maddy in that case? What is she actually so hurt and angst-ridden about? That Rishabh bought her in 40 lacs? Or that Rishabh only took 4 pheras with her? Does it hit her somewhere that she and Rishabh are a partially married couple and that she misses the respect and honour that this marriage should have had? Why does she become so passionate and aggressive about Rishabh not having completed the wedding rituals when he is not even around to see her angst? It shouldn't matter to her ' but you can clearly see it in her scene with Radhaji that she is hurt. All her temper, anger and her unresolved passionate feelings for Rishabh come to a point where she says that even if she took 70 pheras with Rishabh , even they won't be enough to give this marriage some hope. Such passion and that too in front of her saasumaa and not Rishabh.

And where does this passion come from? It comes from that explosions of emotions that Rishabh evokes inside her ' hatred, anger , violence , attitude, intensity , attraction. Why else do you think , she descended the stairs, trapped in his eyes and gave him her hand? From where did that passion come in to dance like a meteor with Rishabh in the precap?

Maddy has Rishabh's passion, his intensity , his rock solid attitude ' infact , like we said before so many times- Maddy is Rishabh's mirror image in many ways ' the only difference being that she thinks from her heart and Rishabh from his head. And Rishabh told this to Maddy again today ' You may or may not agree but there is a little bit of Rishabh inside you as well. The creatives keep on giving hints and they are delivered ' someday, Maddy will be just like Rishabh ' she has acquired his attitude, uses his lines, gives him a total mortal combat as though trained by him, has his arrogance and intensity. But that also means she will be as lost as him someday. Eerie thought ,eh? Deal with it.

As for the rest of he episode , Kukkuji and Sicky were hilarious today ' Rishabh aur Maddy ke yudh ke ye sabse bade fans hain. BittuG showed a soft side today ' he didn't like Rishabh turning Maddy from a princess to a kaamwaali bai. Radhaji is a helpless mom but she should keep away from Maddy. It upsets Rishabh aur dekhaa na, Rishabh ne Maddy ko waapis jhaadu pakdaa diya because Radhaji tried to take his no.1 position in Maddy's life.

P.S- Maddy coming down the stairs and Rishabh waiting for her there , offering her his hand and Maddy giving in to the pull- it reminded me of the famous Jack and Rose scene from 'Titanic' where Jack is waiting for Rose at the clock.
