I am NOT a fan of either jodi but was a fan of a good show and watched it for that reason.
I agree with you that Adi does not express in his emotions except his hate for Bednis. He did care about Amu in his own way and you did see flashes of it when Anju was playing Adi. I do not have a problem with that. We dont need every character to be the same. That's what made this show interesting at the beginning. Each character had strength and weaknesses and you liked them for it and I liked that Adi. Since nadesh arrived there has been no sight of his love for Amu.
You say he did good work, and is trushworthy and faithful
- I completely agree that he did the right thing by helping G bring Reva in front of all. That was the right thing to do.
But he has also stood by and let bad things happen because he could not see beyond his hate for Bedni's - like throwing Sugni out of the house and calling her keechad, getting angry with TVS and Amu for helping Sugni and her family when they were starving, when her Mami's baby was born etc. I know you will say he made a mistake like any human being but those are hugh mistakes.
You say he is trustworthy and faithful - There I have to completely disagree. He has shown no gratitude for what his Mama has done for him. A faithful person would never forget that his Mama has taken him and his mother in and provided love, emotional and financial support for better part of 15-20 years and his still does when his own father dumped them and would never conspire against that person regardless how he felt about their choices.
His Mama trusts him absolutely but he has played a cruel game with his Mama and what he wants. He has promised his Mama that he will keep Sugni as his Amanat and return her to him when he has sorted his life out but at the same he has asked Sugni to push his Mama away. He cannot play God and decide that his mama and mami's relationship should be saved. Its not his life and not his decision.
This is not behavior of a trustworthy person.
You say TVS is dishonest, selfish and fake.
I agree he was dishonest with Sugni. He should have told Sugni when Reva returned 1 month before their wedding (lets be clear he did not know that Reva had survived the accident. In fact he has said that he spent months looking for her after the accident and that had he even an inkling that Reva was alive he would never had looked at Sugni but fate played a horrible trick on both him and Sugni by throwing them together). Just as you say Adi is human and made mistakes the same could be said about TVS.
He is asking Sugni for a second chance - is that selfish? Why?
I do not see how TVS is fake? He has been upfront from the beginning - he loves Sugni and wants to marry her.
You say unlike Adi TVS does phagalpaan pyaar me - I agree he is becoming obssessive. But is that not because he has endured 8 years of unhappy married life with a mentally/emotionally unbalanced person (a marriage that was arranged for him). While she was presumed to be dead he experienced a normal relationship with someone and realises how good it can be and wants to hold on it?
Adi has known Amu most of her life but is still finding it difficult to commit so I wonder how he would cope with what his Mama has endured.
I am not bothered about Jodis but I want to see a balanced show where both TVS and Adi face consequences of their mistakes and they have both made hugh mistakes along the way.
