Jadeja out, Azhar in
|
No, not in the Indian cricket team, but in a reality show on TV made by actor Anuj Saxena
The first innings of a new cricket-based reality show on TV called Beach Cricket has not even begun and there's already a twist. Former India captain Mohammed Azharrudin has replaced cricketer Ajay Jadeja in the show. Things had almost worked out, but Jadeja opted out sometime ago.
The show is being made by TV actor Anuj Saxena. While both Azhar and Anuj are tightlipped about this, sources say they met last month to discuss this. In fact, a few days back, Azhar came to Mumbai to sign the deal.
The show, looking to tap the cricket frenzy during the World Cup next year, will have participants from across the country. who'll reach the finals after a series of two to three hours of beach cricket. The selection apparently will also be based on looks and physique. Azhar will be involved in all aspects of the show. So will he also anchor it? That's yet to be decided.
