kumud's love.marriage life is very very very complex (isnt tht tru with most of ekta's female characters? 😆)
i will explain it in detail so tht all misunderstandings are cleared.
kumud origionally loved kshitij a lot. they got engaged. she lost her virginity to him. she was pregnant with his child. then, kshitij thot he was gonna die so he wanted kumud to hate him so he accused kumud and garv of having an affair and he refused to accept the child as his and said it was garv's child. kumud was heartbroken and needed a shoulder to cry on and a guy 2 marry (her fiance does not want 2 accept her or their kid and she is gonna b an un-wed mother if she cant get a guy 2 marry her) then, garv, who was also heartbroken cuz he lost his love kali to nakul (kshitij's younger brother) supported kumud and they got married. kumud's and garv's marriage was origionally a compromise from both sides. later on, living together, they fell in love with each other but neither admitted their love to the other person. meanwhile, kumud found out tht kshitij only pretended to betray her because he thought h was going to die. she became friends with him again but she did not love him (remember she loves garv now and is married to him) garv also loved kumud but he felt insecure cuz he thought she still loved kshitj and would leave garv and go back to kshitij. by now, kali was over nakul and her new obsessionw as garv. she found an insecure, brokenheart and drunk garv and gave him a shoulder to cry on. they spent the night together. kali thought this would be the perfect opportunity to pretend to be pregnant with garv's child. when kumud found out about this she was shattered, as much as she love garv, she was convinced that this marriage was only a compromise for him and he still had feelings for kali. kumud and garv got divorced. then, since kali was supposedly pregnant with garv's child the family got her and garv married. once they were married, kali's lie was revealed and everyone found out that kali was just faking it and she really was not pregnant. kumud still loved garv and garv still loved kumud but they had this misunderstanding between them so they were separated (cuz of kali and her natak). once garv found out kali was not pregnant with his child he divorced her. now garv, kumud and kshitij are all single. kumud and garv love each other and eventually get their misunderstandings cleared out. kumud and garv want to get married to each other again. everything seems perfect for these two love birds but then vidhi (she was kumud's roommate then sohan chachu's fiance, then she teamed up with trishul (tassu and abhay's son) and killed sohan and she married trishul as well...basically a negative character) messed everything up. she knew that kumud and garv liked each other and they wanted to get remarried. she told kumud that she would talk to kkusum and the rest of the kapoor people about it. kumud was satisfied. then, vidhi told every1 that kumud and kshitij still oved each other (kshitj still loved her but she moved on and didnt have any feelings 4 him) the family was happy cuz they all wanted 2 give kumud back her happiness so they arranged 4 the wedding. once kumud found out that the adults aranged her wedding with kshitj and not garv she was devestated but there was nothing she could do (oh yea there was but shez 2 mahan and selfless) so she went ahead with the wedding 4 the happiness of her family and all. sh she gets married to kshitij but she does not love him and that wedding is a compromise. so yea she is once again stuck in a "samjotha". then, abhay kills kshitij (with a flower pot 😆) and kumud is once again alone. then, as us garv fans got excited about kumud-garv reuniting, ekta brought in a new character and kumud married him at the end of the show and they had a daughter they named kkusum...after the lil gir's nanni kkusum
