Television actress Rupali Ganguly is back to her first love — theatre. The actor makes a comeback on stage after almost eight years and seems to be really happy to be performing live again. The Bengali actress of the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai fame, will be visible again performing in Paritossh Painter's new play See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil — Plot 2. The actor, who since childhood has acted in several plays, said about being on stage again, "I was yearning to do a play since quite long, but I wanted a good script where the overall story gains importance over its actors. Getting to play a central character was not more important than the script. Moreover, Paritossh is a good friend, and so it's like doing your homework and having a blast at the same time." Rupali has earlier done plays like Papa Don't Preach and Aatmakatha in the nineties and is thrilled to be on stage this month onwards. The play features other theatre stalwarts like Balwinder Singh Suri, Ashiesh Roy, Jayesh Thakkar, Bhairavi Goswami and Ravi Gosain. It has been written, directed and produced by Paritossh Painter, with Balwinder Singh Suri as co-producer and creative director. It is a product of Ideas, the entertainment company. The story is about 3 scientists who are deaf, dumb and blind. "I am the lab assistant Rosy and I am enjoying every bit of it," says Rupali, who is waiting for Sarabhai vs Sarabhai to be on air again. However, the choosy actress is very glad that as Rosy, she is doing a role that appeals to her. Karan leaps from desi boy image to cool dude |
