I'd been put off along with most of the other forum members regarding Shyanjali's never-ending love story. But what got me sad was all the posts saying that Daljeet's leaving the show would have been better than the overdose of Mr. and Mrs. Creepwa. Personally, I don't think that Daljeet was wrong in demanding more screen time and a more developed character. I don't know what her and the CVs decided on, but somehow I don't think this is what she would have wanted. The CVs seem to have gone overboard in trying to make Anjali's character more vital to the plot, and now most people are just fed up of her.
So what I'm trying to say is - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I honestly don't think that the CVs have assassinated Anjali's character as many people seem to be insinuating. No, she's not the same Anjali that we met over a year ago. She's become selfish, a horrible sister, and downright stupid. But you have to realize that she's been through hell and back since then. Her little world revolved around nothing but her husband who she revered as a God. All of a sudden her entire married life turns out to be a lie. She's always been weak, unable to cope with problems like this, and the Raizadas haven't done her any favors by closing the Shyam chapter and refusing to talk about it. She was bound to get a little unstable.
The CVs have created a gem of a character with Anjali. She's went from a lovable, caring and sweet sister to a weak, selfish woman who is ready to do anything in order to get her old life back. I felt really sad in today's episode when Akash and NK got Arnav onto the stage to dance, and Anjali's eyes were still on her pathetic husband. She's so obsessed with him that she doesn't even care about her brother's happiness. I mean, it's his MEHNDI and it's as though she doesn't even notice him.
Anjali's character could be really interesting to watch if the CVs expanded on her frame of mind, highlighting her insecurities and explaining WHY she has become the way she is. But the way they're going about it is just making the audience get irritated at her constant sniveling.
