The journey from small screen to glam world of Bollywood is considered the toughest one for atelevision actor, but sometimes the road to stardom runs quite smoothly. Yami Gautam , Ayushmann Khurana , Prachi Desai and Ronit Roy are few of the examples who count themselves in the luckiest ones.
But every actor doesn't come withthe same mascot, they have to struggle and fight till the door way of silver screen doesn't open. Karan Tacker , the heart throb of television screen, who is successfully playing the role of Viren in Star Plus' Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain , says the talent is not less in the TV actors but fails to understand why the people from the film industry consider them weak and too exposed for big screen.
Many a times, actors struggle to even get an audition as they don'tnecessarily fit into the film world. Karan shares the sentiment, and said, "I really don't know what works. People from the film industry feel we are too exposed. They don't consider TV actors as talented and feel that the kind of content we do is not progressive or rather, very home bodied."
He added, "I have a lot of respect for TV but it also sort of restricts you and the industry is female centric. In films, you get enough time to work on your character creatively." Karan Tacker too is in the process of considering films this year which may not be "very commercially viable" but will do them for their "art and craft".
