The media has a different yardstick for what Amitabh should and should not do . The 'good' actors can portray a p*** an eunuch or any character and can get away with it in the name of art or alternate cinema . But not the megasatar .

If one recalls the keepers of the order first had problem when Amitabh's cross dressed in the chartblasting 'Mere Angane Mein' ( 'Laawaris') . Recently one heard murmers for his role in 'Boom and now once again for 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' .

The truth of the matter is no one has been able to understand the depth of his character . In fact Amitabh's much maligned 'Chandigarh jokes' are getting quite popular and in some cicuits of North a rage .
