"No Khushi, I don't want to go. After what you said Priya did, I don't understand why you want to go see her either." Arnav stood up from the bed and walked to the poolside.

"Arnavji", Khushi ran after him and stood behind him. She touched his shoulder and turned him around. "Arnavji, please.. we are doing this for Nanheji. He was there for us when no one else was. How can we forget that?"

Arnav shook his head, "Khushi, but.."

"Yes, Arnavji. I know what Priya did. But I was wrong. I was quick to judge her".

Arnav's eyes opened wide. "Khushi, you saw her lying next to me on our bed. What else should you have.."

Khushi touched Arnav's arms and said, "Arnavji, I didn't like the way Priya was around you. I wanted her out of this house, away from you. That's why I ' Arnavji, I saw what I wanted to see and I was wrong." She threw her arms around him and placed her head on his chest. Arnavji, I am sorry that I am lying to you. But how will I tell you the truth, she thought.

Arnav grabbed her arms and pulled her away. "Khushi, I know you trusted me around Priya. I don't know why you are lying to me."

Khushi stood on her toes and kissed him on the forehead. She turned around and walked back into the room. "We will drive to Lucknow tomorrow morning. Let me go get everything ready for the trip. I have already spoken to Amanji. He said he will take care of your meetings for you."

Arnav wasn't listening to her; he was deep in thought. "I am sorry for everything", he remembered Priya's words. Why did she say sorry to me before she left the room that night? Then Khushi saw her with me. But now Khushi is taking the blame on herself; why? Is she protecting someone? Why is she fond of Priya all of a sudden? Is it just because of NK? Nothing makes sense.

"Khushiji", Arnav's thoughts were interrupted as he heard Anjali's voice. He looked up to see Anjali at the door. "When are we leaving tomorrow? I just '" She stopped as she saw Arnav standing by the poolside.

"Di?" Arnav ran to Anjali and touched her shoulder. "Are you going to Lucknow too? You can't travel in this condition, Di. You need to take rest." He helped her walk and sit down on the bed.

Anjali smiled. "I am fine, Chotte."

Arnav shook his head and started saying something, when Anjali took his hand in hers and said. "Chotte, please forgive me for.. "

Arnav touched her shoulder and said, "Di, it's alright. You shouldn't have helped Shyam get out of jail, but you did it because you loved him. I understand. I am sorry I got angry at you. I mean, yes, you did help him get out of jail, but it was not because of you that Khushi got kidnapped. It's not your fault, Di. I am sorry for being rude to you earlier. I was just really worried about losing Khushi. Please forgive me, Di."

Arnav hugged Anjali. Anjali's eyes teared up; she looked up at Khushi. Khushi smiled, her eyes filled with tears. "Di, if you are going, then I will come too. There is no way I am letting you go all the way to Lucknow and back alone." Anjali smiled, looking at Khushi and mouthed a silent "Thank you." Khushi nodded and turned around to take clothes out of the wardrobe.

Priya sat on the bed, leaning against the bedpost, her eyes, closed. She remembered how NK had found her. She was on the bus to Lucknow. He had chased the bus and stopped it on the way. He had gotten in the bus, dragged her out of the bus and taken her in his arms in a tight embrace. "Priya, what happened? Why did you leave?" She had burst into tears. "Priya, tell me." Priya shook her head and had asked him to leave. She had told him she never wanted to see him again. But NK had insisted on knowing why. Finally when the bus driver threatened to leave without her and NK refused to go without knowing the truth, Priya told him everything, how Anjali had helped her find the job and on getting here, she had threatened her. "I am sorry, NK, but we can never be together. I can never be part of a family that has Anjali in it. I don't think I can ever face Arnav and Khushi again. I'm truly sorry, NK. If you love me, you will let me go." She had placed a kiss on his cheek, before she got on the bus. He didn't try to stop her. He had stood on the road, staring at the bus, helplessly, as it pulled away.

"Beta, there is someone here to see you." She opened her eyes hearing her father's voice. Khushi and Anjali stepped into her room. Priya's eyes opened wide as she stood up from her bed. Her eyes focused on Anjali, her face fuming with anger. Anjali stopped near the door, while Khushi walked towards her and took her hand in hers.

"Priya, we are here to apologize to you". Khushi touched Priya's face and said softly. Priya turned to look at her. "I am sorry I slapped you the other day. I .. I shouldn't.."

Priya touched Khushi's hand on her face and took it in her hand. She shook her head as she said, "No, Khushi. I deserved it. You don't need to apologize to me". Priya looked up as Anjali spoke, "But I do. I need to apologize to you for my behavior".

Anjali walked to Priya and touched her shoulder. Priya stepped back and looked away. Anjali pressed her lips together and then said, "Priya, I know I have wronged you and Khushi. I know I don't even deserve your forgiveness, but Priya, will you please forgive me?"

Khushi touched Priya's shoulder; Priya's face softened as she looked at her. "Priya, Di told me everything. She is sorry for what she made you do. Please, please forgive her."

Priya had a horrified expression on her face. "Khushi, I don't know how you can so easily forgive Anjaliji for what she did. She tried to break up your marriage."

Khushi nodded and said, "Yes, but thanks to Devi Maiyya, Di realized that she was wrong. Now she is repenting for what she did. Priya, please, she needs your forgiveness." Priya looked at Anjali; a tear rolled down Anjali's cheeks.

Priya nodded. "I forgive you, but only because Khushi asked me to. I .." Anjali interrupted her and burst into tears. "Thank you, Priya."

Priya turned to Khushi; she had a smile on her face. "We have a surprise for you." Priya raised her eyebrows as she heard music.

"Ek ladki mere khwabon main aati hain"

A girl appears in my dreams

Priya ran to the window and a faint smile appeared on her face.

"Woh tum ho woh tum ho .. meri Priya, tum hi to ho"

It's you, it's you .. my Priya. It's definitely you.

NK stood below the window, a guitar in his hand, Payal and Akash standing next to him, wide grins on their faces.

Priya turned around and looked at Khushi. Khushi had a wide grin on her face as well. She turned back to look at NK.

"Chuimui si tum lagti ho phoolon jaisi hasthi ho"

You look delicate, you laugh like a flower

Priya's smile widened and she leaned against the side of the window.

"Jis din se dekha hain tum meri saanson main dil main rehti ho"

Since the day I have seen you, you are in my breath and my heart.

She turned around, closed her eyes and touched her heart, which had started beating wildly. She ran out the door, out the house and stopped in front of NK.

"Maine kiya yeh faisala, rahoonga tumhara sada"

I have made this decision that I will be yours forever

Tears rolled down Priya's cheeks.

"Betaabi dil main hai, kab mujh ko jaane ja apna kehti ho"

My heart is restless, wondering when you will consider me yours.

She ran to him and threw her arms around him. Everyone cheered. Khushi smiled and looked around. She couldn't find Arnav. She pressed her lips together and saw Akash looking at her. He indicated to her right towards Sheesh Mahal. Khushi nodded and walked to the house.

Arnav stood at the gate, looking at the house, deep in thought. Khushi went to him and touched his shoulder. He looked at her and she realized his eyes were moist. "Arnavji? Are you alright?" Arnav smiled and nodded.

"What happened?" She touched his face, her face contorted with worry.

Arnav remained quiet. Khushi smiled, "Aah laad governorji.. want to lock me in a room again?"

Arnav smiled, remembering their first meeting. He touched her shoulders and said softly, "Only if I am in the room with you." Khushi giggled.

Arnav's smile disappeared and he took her face in his hands. "Khushi, I wish Ma had been alive to see you."

"Aunty would have been very proud of you, Arnav." They looked up as they heard Priya's voice. Arnav looked away, angrily. Priya looked at Khushi; Khushi bent her head slightly, nodding in approval. Priya continued and walked towards Arnav. She touched his shoulder. "Arnav, I am truly sorry for whatever I did. But I want to tell you why I did it. I cannot take this guilt with me .." She stopped as she saw Khushi shake her head, violently, a scared expression on her face. Arnav turned around, his eyes open wide.

"Priya, what did you want to tell me?"

Priya gulped. "Arnav, I.. I was jealous when I saw you with Khushi. I have loved you since I was a kid. But then I met NK and I realized that maybe he was the one who I was destined to be with. I am sorry for everything I did Arnav."

Arnav looked at Priya and then at Khushi and then back at Priya. "Priya, is that what you were going to tell me?"

Priya gulped again and nodded. She is lying, Arnav thought. "Fine." He said. He turned to Khushi and said angrily, "Can we leave now?"

Khushi looked at him confused, "Arnavji, Priya wants.."

"Forgiveness?" Arnav turned to Priya. "She will get it the day she tells me the truth." Arnav turned around and walked away. Khushi turned to Priya and touched her shoulder.

"I am sorry, Priya, but we can't tell Arnavji..."

Priya nodded. "I know. He will be heartbroken." Khushi nodded. "But..", she started and Priya interrupted. "It is ok. I know he has forgiven me. He is just angry that I am hiding the truth from him". Khushi smiled.

Priya hugged Khushi. "Khushi, I am so happy you came into his life. You both love each other so much. I hope your love never gets jinxed". She pulled away and took her hands in hers. "I was not lying when I said Aunty will be so proud of Arnav. She would have loved you, Khushi. You are everything she wanted for him, everything and more."

Khushi smiled. A few feet away, Arnav heard these words, leaned against a tree and closed his eyes. A tear rolled down his cheek.

Ok, I have mixed feelings about this update. I didn't exactly like it. I tried my best to make it interesting, but I wasn't smiling at all while writing this and that according to me is a bad sign. But this is the last of its kind. This was necessary though for the story to move forward. Arnav is putting the dots together, but of course he will never suspect his Di. Why would he?
