However, the main reason was the fact that she wasn't willing to go LIVE on a regular basis again, until the channel was offering more money. Additionally, the channel was quite happy with Shaista, as her show has been doing well. Some event say that the two parties were very close to reaching a deal once, hence Shaista's extended absence from the channel.
However, it didn't result in anything and now the two sides are not very happy. Nadia recently sent wrong signals to the channel by blaming the channel for showing the controversial stuff on a famous show. She claimed that she had to show all that as it was channel's requirement. The actress even claimed to have taken time off due to the fact that the channel was interfering in her work. As expected, GEO didn't take it happily.
Rumors are also rife that her appearance at ARY's morning show is her way to tell GEO that she does not need the channel. Some sources even say that Nadia will be ousted from GEO in the next few months, as many believe that the channel is only waiting for the contract to end.
