Aarti was searching for something she did that irked Yash... but the fire was an accident and not which Aarti did on purpose, now they might have just decided not to tell anyone at home about the fire... so that they would not get too worried... So that's the reason no one mentioned the fire and frankly I feel Aarti was not even aware that the fire had this intense effect on Yash! At that moment it was just her Hero Yash coming and saving her, nothing else. Only when she saw Arpita's photos all over the floor that the intensity of the situation from Yash POV struck her...
they must have used a fire extinguisher!! but all this is besides the point or for that matter very secondary...
For us Aarti and Arpita might be Living and Dead respectively, but for Yash it was a war between Living and Living... Arpita for him has been a living person for more than 4 years... and suddenly seeing every memory of Arpita burn right in front of his eyes was like a splash of cold water on his face...He had to chose between Aarti and Arpita... his heart told him save Arpita... but his mind and logic told him save Aarti... and Yash chose to listen to his mind and logic...both of which until then just flew out of the window where his memories of Arpita were concerned...
The incident got Yash back to his senses...made him realize when he save Aarti that hello Mr Yash your Arpita is dead! Its was a Shock for him which left him angry on himself!!
Today in true terms Arpita's funeral pyre burnt for Yash!!!
