Chapter 9 "Wrriten By Sayani"
Its almost 6:30 am of morning . Whole Mumbai has woke up early enough . Just at this 6:30 people got busy adjusting in their fast life , roads already became congested with various types of vehicles , whole city has again filled up with glimpses of busy life . But in the bedroom of Piya's flat still a sleepy environment predominating over this busy hectic life . All the windows are still closed there and the heavy curtains hanging over the windows preventing the early rays of morning to enter the room maintaining its gloomy atmosphere inside . In this half dark room , Piya , dressed in a white night gown was still lying on the bed asleep . She changes her side in her sleep and holds the pillow tight to increse her level of comfort just then her cell phone starts to ring loud . "Goddd ! Now who is it ?" she murmers in a sleepy voice , mixed with a tone of annoyance . She throws the pillow away and takes her cell phone from the bed side table to give a look at the screen . As soon as she looked at the screen her sleepyness vanished in seconds and she seats up on her bed with a jerk . Its Kabir ! Wao ! What a great starting of the day is . Nothing can be better than to wake up hearing loved one's voice . She recieves the call " Hey ! Good morning !"
"Good morning my Princess !" Kabir answers from other side " I just hope I didn't disturb your sleep ?"
"Not at all" Piya leaves the bed and opens one of the windows " It was really great feeling to get the first good morning wish from you " .
"Really ?" Kabir's voice seems to be very happy " How is it for breakfast together ?"
"What ? " Piya gets really surprised " I mean how ? You are in Mumbai ?" Piya asks in a surprised voice .
"Nah...not I am" Kabir's voice sounds a little dissapointed , but the dissapointment does not stay for long "But whats in it ? I asked for breakfast together , not to meet . You and me , we will have our breakfast at the same time while talking through this phone . Can't it be called breakfast together ?"
" Wao ! Amazing idea Kabir ! Ya...then breakfast together . Promise !" a sweet smile gets painted on her face .
"Great ! Umm...Piya can I ask you something ?" suddenly Kabir sounds a little hesitant"Are you really happy in Mumbai ? I mean you don't miss your home ? Your own city ? And me ??"
Piya looks down through the window , her eyes caught a view of a busy congested road . She sighes" Ofcourse I miss Kabir . You know Kabir its not 7 even , but life is already so busy here , and this busy hectic shedule persists till so late at night . I really miss Dehradun , the soft ray of morning , the cool bridge of evening... I miss them too much . And I miss my family and you like hell !" she sighes again " but what to do Kabir ? We can't expect to get something without sacrifice some other na ? For my dream , my passion.. I had to do this . You know Kabir ."
Kabir remains silent for sometime . Perhaps he too sighed on other side . He resumes with a cheerful voice" ya I know . Just leave it . Tell me hows your work going on ? You learnt to do surgeries ??"
Piya laughs "Surgery ?? So soon ?? Kabir you are a buddhu . I will be called to help surgery after 3-4 months , not so soon ok ?"
"Ohh..." Kabir seems to get a little dissapointed "Then what do you do there now ?"
"Umm...now ? You know..." Piya was just going to say she got an interesting patient , but she herself does not know why she is just not feeling to tell it to Kabir . Taking care of a mental patient ? God knows how will he take it . No need . Piya completes" you know its really interesting to monitor the patients or observing the diet or medicine charts ? I get lots of things to learn from them ."
"Oh...that mean you are still a student " Kabir makes out "Anyway its over 7 now . Go get ready for your duty . Otherwise your hitlar boss..." Kabir's voice becomes playful .
"No , today I have to go hospital a bit late . I am scheduled for late duty today . But currently I have to go to market . I have nothing to eat in fridge . So bye . Will call you at breakfast time ."
"Okk...will be waiting"
After disconnecting the call Piya keeps standing there for a little . Did she do right hiding Abhay from Kabir ? Should she tell him about Abhay ? But actually she did not feel to say that to Kabir . God knows why . Piya heaves a deep sigh and heads towards the washroom .
Piya watches her wrist watch again . Shitt ! Its past 8:30 now . She got so late in market ! 8:30 means the breakfast time in Rathor house already passed . And she just completed picking up the things from market . After returning she has to cook too . No chance of breakfast together . Piya tries to stop an empty taxi , but that didn't stop . Goddd ! So irritating . She should ask for sorry to Kabir in phone . She was just about to phone him , she noticed another empty taxi and this time she managed to stop that . The driver asks her with an wide grin " Madamji you ? When did you comeback ?"
Huh ? When did you comeback ? Did Piya come to market by this taxi ?? Piya thinks for a little , she doesn't remember . The driver opens the back door and says "Come seat Mamdamji . You have to go to home ? Should I take you to home ?"
Piya thinks for a little , he knows where she lives too ? May be this is the taxi she hired while coming here . The driver's tone clearly saying that he remember her well . Piya just nods her head in yes and seats in the taxi . Uff...finally she got a taxi ! Now her first work is to call Kabir . She brings up her phone and calls him . Kabir was still waiting for her without having his breakfast . But what could Piya do ? She got so late in market and now got taxi so late ! Piya tries to make Kabir understand and promises to have the breakfast together next day . She was so much absorped in the conversation that she did not even notice on which way her taxi is going . She finally comes back to home when the driver informs her "Madamji ! You reached ."
Piya grabs her bag and packets and comes out of the taxi . She pays the bill and the taxidriver left giving a sweet smile to her . Why did he smiled in such way ? As if he knows Piya for a long time . Piya turns and gets hell surprised . The road is looking a bit different to her . Where did she come ? She turns back and her jaw just kept open for almost a minute . From when she started to live in such beautiful , huge bunglow ?? She shakes her head , the driver acted like he knows very well where does she live , but now God knows where did he dropped her . Piya comes 2 steps forward to read the nameplate at the gate , suddenly then a strange view comes to her eyes . Siddharth ! Siddharth Raichand is coming out of the bunglow ! What is he doing here ? Not only coming out , he is locking the maindoor of the bunglow & now he is coming to the gate ! Piya quickly hides herself behind a bushy tree . Siddharth comes out , locks the gate too notices the surroundings well and finally left by his car which he parked a little away from the bunglow . After Siddharth's departure Piya comes out . Is it Raichands house ? No . The nameplate reads KHURANA HOUSE . That means some Khurana stay here or used to stay here . But Siddharth Raichand have keys of this house and he even comes to here ! But why the hell the driver dropped her here ? Is it just a coincident ? No . Piya's sixth sense is ticking as there is some mystery hidden in this house . But what ? Should she try to solve ?
Its now almost 10 of night . Abhay has slept after taking his medicines . Its really strange , Piya wonders while noticing his sleepy face . Everytime he remains so violent , but only in front of her he behaves like a good boy . Piya gathers up her papers , now she just have to submit them to Siddharth and then she can leave for home . Piya looks at Abhay again . Today she got an important information about him . Till now she just knew his name , today she got to know his full name . His full name is Abhay Raichand ! He is younger brother of Siddharth ! Doctor Patel was telling her about his 'ppast . He too was a doctor . He was the chief surgeon of this Asha hospital . Doctor Patel was narrating those days when he used to work with them . He was totally a smart , funloving , caring person . He used to enquire about every patient . Each patient used to be important for him . And towards his family ? His family used to be everything for him . Infact it was only Abhay's brain who worked hard to put Tanushree and Siddharth together . And now ? Piya feels like to cry , sometimes fate acts so cruel . No one can even imagine this is the same Abhay Raichand ! Even Piya herself could not match his previous image with his current image . What happened to him that brought such a heven and hell difference in him ? Doctor Patel told he does not know . He was just told that it was an accident . But what type of accident ? Siddharth must know this since he is his elder brother . But Piya does not have enough courage to ask him . Even she could not gather enough courage to ask about that house ! Piya sighes once again . She checks if she has arranged all papers well and then comes near to Abhay , keeps watching him sleepy for sometimes and finally leaves from there switching off the lights . Piya could not go much far , suddenly a scream attracts her attension . Who screamed now ? Someone screamed calling a name perhaps . Piya could not hear clearly what the name was , so she is really unable to make out whose scream it was . But the only thought came in her mind is " Is Abhay ok ?" . She rushes towards Abhay's cabin . To her utter surprise she found Abhay has woke up . He sat up on his bed . Did Abhay scream that ? Piya forgets to switch on the lights even ! She just comes running to Abhay and asks in a soft tone "are you ok ?"
Abhay looks up to her . In that half lighted half dark atmosphere only God knows what he found in Piya that he hugged her so tight ! Just like a frightened child Abhay hugs Piya tight . By this sudden situation Piya becomes a statue for a while . She kept thinking for sometime what to do while unknowingly she hugged him back . Being captured in his strong armlock , her heart started to bit faster . A strange unknows feeling she was feeling there . Before she could ask anything she heard Abhay's voice for the first time that was whispering in a pleading tone "Don't leave me please."
