The body of a black boy is dug up 50 years after racists murdered him in Mississippi and the case is reopened. Emmett Till was the starting signal of the civil rights movement.
The body of one of the most famous victims of the violence in the segregated southern USA, Emmett Till, was dug up in Chicago, in order to forensics can finally get a chance to prove, if there is the mortal remains of the 14-years old black boy, who was murdered by white racists in 1955, when he visited his family a hot summer day in the village Money in the State of Mississippi.
The body of the boy was found in the Tallahatchie River in Mississippi. Two men were then charged with the murder, but acquitted after a lawsuit, which according to many legal experts was typical at the time in the segregated South. The defender had managed to doubt on, whether the boy was Emmett Till, and the two accused men was acquitted by a white mention things on a lenient basis.
Now the body of the boy was on Wednesday dug up in the cemetery in Chicago suburb of Alsip by the federal police FBI, while friends and family at the back followed the work with prayer and songs.
It is the Home Office that has demanded the case to reopen after new evidence suggests that a larger group of people were involved in the murder of Emmett Till. He was murdered because he had allegedly whistled on a white woman on the street.
Emmett Till's death became the starting signal of the civil rights movement in USA.
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
