Some of TV'S most-hyped shows trip up when it comes to the TRP test
Alot of hype and prior promotion does not guarantee success, at least on TV. And with channels and producers giving a new show only two to three months to prove itself (they gauge audiences' reaction in this period), it puts the much-hyped shows on the spot. We look at shows that didn't work inspite of new concepts, massive promotions and star power.

THE PROMISE: Meant to showcase the grandeur of the film industry and the struggle of the people behind the scenes, with the focus on Superstar RK and an ordinary girl, Madhubala. Popular stars include Vivian D'Sena and Drasthi Dhami.
WHAT WENT WRONG: It opened with a high TRP (2.8), but slipped to 1.7 last week. Instead of the film industry, the story focuses on the relationship between the lead characters.
