Katrina Kaif Has a Breakdown Over Salman Khan Secret Marriage Rumors

A photo of Katrina Kaif sporting a maang sindoor yesterday sparked rumors that she and Salman Khan had gotten secretly married. After hearing of the stories Katrina allegedly had a breakdown, sobbing on Salman's shoulder. So what really happened?


First Katrina was seen leaving a special screening of her film Ek Tha Tiger with Salman and various members of his family. She was dressed very simply in a white t-shirt and had her hair up in a ponytail. Photos taken at that time showed a touch of red in the part of her hair and that, combined with the overly familiar, affectionate way in which Salman has been treating Katrina at recent events (perhaps trying to make up for his past bad behavior?), sparked a (somewhat weak) rumor that the pair were actually husband and wife.

What's the significance of the sindoor? Sindoor is a line of red vermilion which adorns the part of a married woman's hair. It can cover the entire part or be simply a small spot of red at the front of the hair, and shouldn't be confused for a tikka, a red dot which is placed lower on the forehead near the eyebrows.

It's been said that Katrina Kaif was incredibly upset when she found out these stories were circulating and that she went to Salman Khan in tears, asking "Am I that type of girl" who would marry in secret? 😭

A source then revealed that the red tinge was not sindoor at all, but a misplaced tilak from a puja ceremony. That's some misplacement, to aim for the browline and end up marking Katrina's hair instead. No doubt Katrina will pay closer attention to her appearance the next time she receives someone's blessings! That is, unless this entire episode was merely to create publicity for the pair after the release of Ek Tha Tiger...
