Amarr Upadhyay is all set to make his comeback on the big screen

Amarr Upadhyay is making a comeback on the big screen. Currently busy shooting for tele-serial Viraasat, Amarr's next film is titled Mumbaii.com. To be directed by ad filmmaker Jatin Kumar and produced by Raju Kashyap, Mumbaii.com is a comic-thriller. "It is a fun film, but there is also a murder mystery involved. I have known Jatin for a long time. We were supposed to do an ad commercial, which we couldn't do due to date problems. I am glad we got the opportunity to work together again. There are two other heroes besides me, but the names are yet to be finalised. Former Miss India Sayali Bhagat has been paired opposite me," informs Amarr.

Amarr, who was recently in one news for charging high remuneration for his tele-stints, says, "Money is not the issue. I signed the film without even discussing the money-factor. However, television is altogether a different medium which requires longer commitments. I have only quoted what I think I deserve."

Speaking about his return in films, Amarr says, "I have been lucky that I am getting another chance. I have always worked with good directors in the past like J.P. Dutta, Raman Kumar and Shyam Ramsay in films like Dhund The Fog, Wah Wah Ramji and LOC - K argil. However the films did not work well for me. But I have no qualms. I am happy to make the most of it this time. With Virasaat going very well and my new look being appreciated widely, now I think I can handle both medium very well." Director Jatin Kumar informs, "Yes, I always wanted to work with Amarr and once the script was finalized, I contacted him. Amarr readily agreed to sign the contract. The title Mumbaii.com spells with an extra 'i' denoting a mystery angle. I think people will love the film."
