Lead couples get wet and wild as prime time soaps gear up for some cosy, rain moments

Rains are synonymous with romance. What better season to inching close to your true lovethan getting drenched in the rains with him/her? A romantic dance, falling in the waiting arms of the macho hero; the romantic leads in neon shades and see-through shirts — rains make the perfect setting for some wet and wild romance. Audiences can gear up for some romantic rain moments, as Tellytown's prime time dailies look at the monsoon for inspiration and spice up the love lives of the lead couples.

Age is just a number Dr. Ashutosh and Nidhi's (Sharad Kelkar and Kritika Kamra) love story in Kuch Toh Log Kahenge promised to be different and was even set in a hospital backdrop. Now playing a happily married couple in the late night show, Sharad and Kritika also were made to get cosy and romantic in a rain sequence, as they swayed to the tunes of the theme song of the show. The rain sequence keeps the audience hooked to the show with the close moments the lead jodi shared on camera.

On song Yash and Aarti (Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar) set the screen on fire with a hot dance sequence in Punar Vivah. Their sizzling chemistry came alive on screen as the lead couple danced in the artificial studio made rain to the beats of Hai Rama from Rangeela(yeah,we know it's not quite the rain song, but that's creative license that showmakers take you see). For female fans of Gurmeet there was reason enough to rejoice as flaunted his fab abs in a see-through shirt.

Rain plays cupid Love me tender, love me sweet got a pleasant twist in this romantic episode of Pavitra Rishta as Arjun (Rithwik Dhanjani) and Purvi (Asha Negi) indulge in some sweet nothings in a tad different way. What follows is a romantic song sequence, lovely rain dance adaptation of the latest chartbuster Teri Shirt Da Main Button! Voila, drenched in love, Rithwik and Purvi steam up the scene with their cute chemistry.

TRPs dictate rains Romance will be the last thing one would expect from a show based on a social issues. But Phir Subah Hogi will also have its share of romance when Thakur Vikram Singh (Varun Badola) will look lovingly at Sugni (Gulki Joshi) who's prancing around in the rains. TRPs ke liye kuch bhi karega!

Jodi kamaal ki Teri Meri Love Stories' second episode oozed romance and some sweet moments as the happily married Meera (Shilpa Anand) and Shreesh (Viraf Pheroze Patel) danced in the rains. Shilpa in a sunshine yellow saree and Viraf in a pristine white shirt made a perfect picture as they amped the oomph meter with their sizzling hot chemistry.

Eeyelocks in the rain A long-lasting eye lock, a romantic song playing in the background and the lead actors drenched in the rain; Mohan (Kunal Karan Kapoor) and Megha of Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha also had their share of rain romance as they had their moment of realization of love, followed by a confession scene. What would we do without a dose of high drama, with some rains in the background?

Iss barish ko kya naam doon? Barun Sobti (Arnav Singh Raizada) and Sanaya Irani (Khushi Kumari Gupta)'s romance sparks off in the rains when the hero saves the petite beauty from a car. Rabba Ve, the title track of the show plays in the background as the soon-to-be love birds share an intense eye-lock. It's a memorable scene that starts off the love track in the show. ^
