there were something happening to my stomach while reading this...and even my eyes filled up...it was so touching...i just loved it...really very beautiful...loved it completely...i wont say it was brilliant or excellent or anything as it deserves more than this...god bless you :)

26/11.
We were all at home.. when suddenly we get a msg.. at around 10.30 at night. "Switch on your television- News." We get shocked to see Star News (A hindi channel so that everyone can understand). "Aatankvaadiyon ne Taj Hotel ko kabze mein.." something something. After a while we get to know, "A taxi blasted in Vile Parle." We gasp! Things get worse..No one is able to sleep.. Every sound we hear, we feel someone has landed on our window!

^We were safe, at our homes. I am not even able to imagine the state of the people at the Taj/Oberoi hotels.. the bldg where the terrorists had stayed! The state of the families of the ppl whose relatives were at the Churchgate station.

Those three days had been so difficult.. The memories are clearly etched in our minds.

You know, i have never commented so long on any thread. OS toh bhul ja!
But I cried while reading this.. Everything just came infront of me. The various stories we heard.. the things we had read.. Our discussions at school. I was in 8th back then. I remember my class teacher telling us a story of a survivor, who used his dead wife's body as a shield. The story of a party.. which had just begun when the attack took place.. The story of..many many!

This OS might not be your best when it comes to written skills!
But this was certainly your best when it comes to emotions and the moral.

Brilliantly written Risha.. I am proud to say your my favorite writer!

I hope this small attempt of yours brings about atleast some change!

I loved the attempt, I loved the story, I loved the OS

That was a pretty sensitive topic to write on. It was so beautifully thought and written. Not at all bias. Just so beautiful.

Being a mumbaikar and an indian first those horrible pictures of that night are etched in my memory forever. Was glued to the televison set for hours hoping for some positive news from the news reporters. Seeing people cry, descending down from the ladder, seeing news reporters laying down on the ground and reporting the news. The memories are still so fresh. I very well remember seeing the terrorist fall out of the window.

What a beautiful message you have sent out through this OS. I must say that this was your best and I really feel this should be published as an article in the editorial section of the news papers. Happy independence day to you too and all the people on this forum :)
