since i joined india forums couple of months back.. i read TRP TRP every week.hence i decided to know about it and checked the net for information.. further i have some valid questions
1. firstly.. trp is calculated based on 8000 homes in india in whose house a meter is fixed.. lets say there r 4 persons in each home averagely.. then we r calculation viewership based on 24000 viewers.. OMG SERIOUSLY!!!😕😕😕😕😕😕😕😕.. i mean india has a population of 6 billion.. so hw does this calculate the sucess of a show??
2. secondly, on a personal front i watch IPK at 8 pm everyday.. even if another show at the same time has a exceptional promo.. there would be 1 in a 50 chance that i will watch it over IPK.. same goes to any other show.. basically most of us are like that.. we dont watch all the serials. unless we have nothing else in life to do except being in front of tv😵 so does the 8000 homes would do.. so even if IPK has a super promo the chances that trp will shoot from 2.5 to 5.9 is impossible..
3. thirdly.. what hapens to international viewers?? and online viewers.. we r in 2012 where almost everyone has jobs.so its not possible to sit in front of tv at 8 pm everyday considering our busy scedules.. hence our phones/laptops/tabs are the best help.. ( moreover we can watch IPK in our personal space and noone can watch us blushing and drooling😳😳😳😳).. most of the youngsters do this.
4. finally. why dont these trp company join hands with DTP operators like tata sky/dish tv/big tv etc.. it will give a better picture and cover more population and homes..👏👏👏👏👏👏
now am not saying all these for IPK having 2.5 trp but its a general view..
one final word abt IPK.. they r doing a fab job.. so sit back and enjoy..y do u want to see what we have seen in every serial in the last 10 yrs.. let them be different.. there is no fun otherwise
