Adaa Khan wants to do Bollywood item numbers
Adaa Khan
Actress Adaa Khan who is playing Amrit in Rajan Shahi's Amrit Manthan did her first ever item number for the television soap.

Adaa grooved to the tunes of Parda hai parda, a song from Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, which is originally picturised on Gauhar Khan. "It is a very interesting scene, where I am suddenly asked by Ankita Sharma, who plays Natasha, to fill in for the dancer who didn't turn up in the party. My character, Amrit objects initially as she is a princess who has inhibitions regarding dancing in a popular number. However, just because my character needs her partnership and money she agrees," informs the actress.

So who does she idolise when it comes to item numbers? "My all time favourite dancer isMalaika Arora Khan. I kept her in mind while performing. I danced for this sequence for more than ten hours. On television you hardly get to do an item number. I am thankful to producerRajan Shahi for the creative sequence and storyline which really connects to the audience."

On being asked if she would do an item number in a film she says, "All the telly town actors dream of doing an item number. I am surely open to the idea, given the fact that it's shot aesthetically. Item numbers surely get attention and add to a TV actor's popularity." We wish she bags one soon.
